Westfield 4.0l V8 2002

Runner but no MOT, just in need of a little TLC. The price reflects the rarity of V8 versions of these cars.
It uses the double cross bolted 4.0 litre P36 Range Rover engine, advertised when I bought it to produce 200 bhp; I’ve never checked this figure.
I bought the car in 2012 and it’s been continuously looked after and improved year by year, but hasn’t been used since covid. It had 5500 miles on it when I got it, so 5500 added in the first 8 years of my ownership. I averaged 500 – 800 miles a year in it.
I added a personal plate to it, which will stay with the car.
The original cut and shut alloy range rover plenum has been exchanged for an RPI carbon fibre plenum and intake trumpets.
The whole brake system has been changed for a system made by Hi Spec, with grooved discs and 4 pot alloy race calipers. Much more effective than the originals considering there is no servo assistance on this car.
The wheels are Wolfrace Assasins with Nang Kang semi slick directional tyres which are very effective. The spare is unidirectional. The rear wheels are spaced 8mm out each side.
There are a couple of starburst cracks in the bodywork, and a chip in the bodywork near the bonnet lock, which were there when I bought the car and have not changed in my 13 years of ownership. It has picked up a couple of light scratches along the way, but I never risked polishing them out, which probably wouldn’t take much effort. There a couple of tiny nicks in the driver’s seat, but very minor.
The suspension is fully adjustable with red springs from Faulkners.
Even more unique customisation includes CNC machined rear light housings, with LED tail lights, including fog and reverse. CNC machined front LED indicator mounts, replacing the ugly wing styled originals. The front nose louvres have been removed and replaced with a full size mesh. In my opinion, considerably better looking than the louvres and allowing more air flow. Even the engine oil filler cap is handmade in blue anodised aluminium with a yellow Westfield inlay.
Chrome motorcycle headlamps replace the original bulbous items, although the car has been used once at night; the nose blocks half the headlamp beam and it’s not fun in the dark!
And just for the record, it’s never been driven in the wet.
There is a tonneau cover which I have never used, but it’s still supple after 13 years being rolled up in the loft. Doors are also included, again never fitted. It has a locking boot lid.
There are numerous spares included that I have accumulated over the years, shown in the pictures. The original radiator is included. This has a small leak which could be repaired with a little welding if required. The dealer I bought from replaced it under warranty.
The car comes with a heater, which I always run on, it helps dissipate the heat as the cooling system obviously holds less water than when fitted in a Range Rover. The cooling system is running Evans waterless coolant which copes better with high temperatures.
It has an adjustable power valve for fuel control and an adjustable thermostat, allowing you to change when the electric engine fan kicks in.
The VDO speedo DOES NOT WORK. There is a brand new transducer at the back wheel ( the cheaper first option to get it working). There is also no fault with the wiring, only leaving the speedo unit itself. £300 - £400 for a replacement unit. My life these days just doesn’t allow me the time to spend tinkering to get the car back on the road. It runs slightly unevenly but this is more due to not having been used for so long, the ECU needs re teaching.
There is a new battery fitted, with a solar trickle charger to keep it topped up. This is fine for 3 to 4 weeks without use before it starts to lose voltage. There is a spare battery included, which is older but unused.
The car comes with an indoor dust cover and 2 sets of keys. There is also an engine immobiliser.
There is also a massive folder containing receipts and MOTs.
Feel free to ask any further questions about the car.

It’s probably a good idea to text first. That way I don’t ignore incoming numbers that I don’t recognise – the bane of modern day life with a mobile phone.
