MGB LE Roadster 1981 Final Edition
Featured here is my Father's Limited Edition (LE) MGB Roadster, finished in the Final Edition Metallic Bronze. It is one of just 421 ever made. It comes with the original sales invoice and fully stamped service history booklet. It has the all important original alloy wheels, which are in superb condition, and he has upgraded the interior to full black leather, as well as upgrading the steering wheel to an attractive steel and wood rimmed style. He has retained the original if a new owner wished to return that to the car. It has wool carpet mats as well as rubber over mats (MG branded) for extra protection.
It was Ziebart undersealed when it was brand new, ensuring the integrity of the underside.
He bought the car nearly 19 years ago on the 7th October 2006 and has cherished it ever since. It has always been garaged which is reflected in the condition of the body work. It has classic car status, so it is both MOT and TAX exempt but the car will come with a fresh MOT for the new purchaser. It was last serviced a year ago but has covered less than 100 miles since then.
He has made some subtle upgrdes which include;
Electronic Ignition.
Big Bore Exhaust with Matching Freeflow Manifold.
All suspension joints and shocks have been replaced.
It has new rear springs and the overdrive was re-conditioned in 2006.
It has a sports tonneau cover which covers the entire interior except the driver's cockpit as well as the original vinyl hood cover.
I drove it over the weekend and it is as tight as ever. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face and could be used daily if one felt the desire.
