2007 LOTUS ELISE

My fabulous 2007 Lotus Elise S is for sale. As you are looking at this advert you already appreciate what a brilliant sports car the Elise is. I bought this car in March 2021 and have thoroughly enjoyed owning it and driving it. This was my first Lotus, but having got the Lotus ‘bug’ I purchased another in December 2023 (an Evora) and as a result the Elise has not been getting the use it deserves, so it’s time for a new owner to enjoy.

This Elise is the 267th 2007 model year Elise S made for the UK market out of a total of 363, the 28th out of 38 cars in Magnetic Blue and the 18th out of 23 cars in Magnetic Blue with (at the time) Black Leather interior.

The Super Touring Pack comprises The Touring Pack (leather seat and door trim, full carpet set, front driving lamps, electric windows, noise insulation panelling, stowage net, noise insulated soft-top and stereo upgrade, plus the The Super Touring Pack (upgraded interior trim, driver and passenger airbags, engine start button, trinket tray divider and cup holder, embroidered carpet mats and leather handbrake lever gaiter). On this Elise the original stereo and embroidered mats have been replaced. (The original stereo is available if wanted.)

This car was first registered on 22 May 2007 by Bell & Colvill (the World’s longest serving Lotus main dealer). They ran the car for 11 months and clocked up just over 6,000 miles before selling it to the second owner in April 2008. The salesperson named on the sales invoice is Scott Walker, now Head of Retail Operations at Lotus Cars. I suspect that it was during the car’s time with B&C that the interior was changed from the original Black Leather to Cream Leather.

The second owner originally lived in Farnham, but subsequently moved to the West End of London. This owner kept the car for over 10 years, increasing the mileage to 49,000. For the first 3 years during this ownership the car was serviced at B&C, after which the service record is unclear apart from a service in October 2015.

In October 2018 the Elise was with Auriga Cars in Dronfield and they sold it to a new owner in Chesterfield. This third owner had the car until late 2020, adding around 2,000 miles to give a total of just under 51,000 miles.

I purchased the car in March 2021 as a Lotus Approved Used Car from Central Lotus in Nottingham and in just over 4 years of ownership I have added another circa 7,500 miles, making the total a little over 58,500 miles.

As can be seen in the photos, the car is in great condition. Below I have listed items included, particular features and works done, together with a note of any defects/ imperfections I am aware of.

Wheels - Wheel nuts and locking wheel nuts replaced in April 2021 (locking wheel nut code is documented), wheels refinished in March 2021. Minor paint damage to 1 bolt recess on n/s rear and 1 on o/s rear, minor paint damage to rim on n/s rear.

Tyres - New Yokohama Advan Sport V105s fitted to rear in March 2025 and to front in June 2022.

Bodywork - PPF fitted to front bumper and both sills. Door waist seals replaced March 2021. A few small stone chips on the nose, 2 small cracks on front bumper, light scuffs around boot opening, small light scratch on boot lid next to lock, small light scratch on boot spoiler, small crack coming from n/s number plate light opening.

Glass - New windscreen fitted November 2018. Protective lacquer on top of headlamp covers above the sidelights a little degraded.

Badges - Original “Bell & Colvill Motorsport” decals to rear of each front wheelarch. Lotus OEM wheel centre caps fitted June 2023.

Soft-top - Storage bag included.

Interior trim - Foot mat fixings replaced April 2021. Marks on squab of passenger seat.

Dashboard - Pioneer Smartphone Receiver SPH-10BT installed August 2022, instrument cluster replaced February 2018 (odometer set at zero miles).

Engine & Cooling - TRD (Toyota Racing Developments) Airbox fitted, ‘U’ bend heatshield replaced April 2024, radiator replaced September 2020, throttle body assembly replaced August 2020.

Suspension & Brakes - Brake calipers refurbished March 2024, new rear shocks, brake discs and pads and handbrake cable March 2021.

Electrics - Battery replaced September 2024 and maintained on CTEK charger, rotary contact unit (clock spring module) replaced July 2024 to eradicate erroneous ABS warning light, driving lights brackets replaced with Xylan coated stainless steel March 2022, upgraded headlamp and driving light bulbs January 2022.

Air Conditioning - Pressure and suction sill pipes replaced August 2021, condenser replaced September 2020.

Boot - Lotus tool kit roll, including towing eye, splined wheel nut adapter, locking wheel nut key/ adapter and 3mm and 5mm Allen keys. Crack in boot floor.

Undertray - Rear and central undertrays removed cleaned and refixed with new bolts and nylon washers March 2024.

Keys - 2 original keys with 2 programmed Cobra Alarm transmitters (PIN code is documented).

Certificate of Provenance - Full Lotus Certificate of Provenance Pack, comprising Specification Letter and Certificate of Provenance, together with an aluminium plaque engraved with the owner’s name and information from the Certificate, a leather Lotus keyring, a carbon fibre bookmark featuring the Lotus’s nine most significant motorsport laurels, a presentation tin of four badges and a Lotus ink pen.
