Huge recent documented expenditure, solid car underneath with many new components. A full respray has been carried out at some point to a very average standard, however, looks presentable, drives great and is priced accordingly. Fantastic investment opportunity for either continued restoration or just enjoyment as a very usable classic Jaguar. Rare model being an XJSC with the removable targa roof panels and rear screen section, produced predominately for the USA market to my knowledge. We have carried out a pre MOT inspection and can confirm the car will be able to conform fully to our modern and stringent VOSA checks with extremely minimal attention. The car is currently without an MOT, due to it being dry stored since September 2021. Any inspection welcome and the car can be prepared to your requirements mechanically, following a good old fashioned viewing and discussion. Warranty available through the RAC with 12 months free breakdown cover should you want to buy the car for usage and not storage / investment / further restoration. Invoices from 2021 totalling ?6054.37 for the following works: Welding and fabrication to the nearside and offside front floor & inner sills and nearside and offside rear inner wheel arches, new front and rear brake callipers and brake pads, new rear brake discs and handbrake pads, reconditioned brake master cylinder and new handbrake cable, new trailing arm bushes, removal and reconditioning of the steering rack, various switches and consumables, and a full engine service. As previously mentioned, to make this car as good cosmetically as it is mechanically, you would want to have it resprayed. The current paintwork is fairly uneven, micro blistered in areas and not very neat & tidy in places. That said, no unsightly rust, scratches, dents or lacquer peal at all. The interior is all there and no rips / wear holes in the leather seat upholstery. The electric windows, radio & tape player are all functional, as is the removable roof and switchgear. On preliminary inspection MOT wise, it simply just needs a small 2/3 inch section of the nearside floor pan welding and a new rear exhaust hanger fitted, after all the car has only covered 22 miles since its last MOT and has lived in a garage since! In August this year (2025) the car becomes 40 years old and therefore MOT exempt. Advertised for considerably less than the recent overhaul expenditure, and an equivalent show condition vehicle.
