We present for sale this Superb 997 3.8 Carrera 4S Coupe in classic Basalt Black with contrasting Terracotta & Black Leather interior and benefitting from and engine rebuild and some subtle styling and mechanical upgrades to make one stunningly attractive 997. CSC previously supplied this vehicle to its current owner who is only now selling due to relocation overseas.

The Porsche 997 was introduced in 2004 and was an evolution of the preceding 996 model which had been in production since 1996. The most significant changes were an external facelift which saw the return to the classic round 911 headlights, an internal re-styling and upgrading of materials and trim, and increased engine power.

The ‘S’ variant featured an engine size increase from 3.6 to 3.8 litres upping power to 355bhp along with PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) suspension. Wheel size was upped to 19inches which accommodated upgraded brakes from the 911 turbo. Bi-Xenon headlights were also fitted to the model as standard.

The Basalt Black bodywork on this example presents beautifully with just some minor age related stone chipping as expected and is set off perfectly by the superb 19’’ Carrera Classic 5 spoke alloy wheels. The cars visual aspect is also enhanced by the subtle but effective Moshammer Aero Package which comprises front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and of course, that superb duck-tail rear spoiler, which together with the BC Coil-over suspension upgrade give this 997 some real road presence.

The inside of the cabin features 2 tone leather trim consisting of Terracotta leather seats and door cards and black leather dash board and trim which really give the car an air of quality and exuberance. Again all trim, leather, carpets and switchgear are in superb condition with very little sign of use or wear.

Probably one of the most relevant features of this 3.8 is an engine rebuild carried out at 61,000 miles by Project Nine Engineering including all six cylinders and pistons. A Borescope Inspection has just been carried out prior to the car being advertised for sale with screenshots taken clearly showing the fine Honing lines from the rebuild refining process and confirming that no further scoring has occurred since the re-build which should give any prospective purchaser piece of mind for years to come.

Moshammer are a German Automotive Design company specialising in styling upgrades for German manufactured vehicles, mainly of the Porsche variety.

This Carrera 4S is fitted with their ‘Tradition RS Aero’ package for the wide-body 997 and comprises of a Lower Front Spoiler, Side Skirts, Rear Lower Diffuser and Ducktail Spoiler. To further enhance the car, a set of BC adjustable Coil-overs have been recently fitted to improve the standard suspension, improving the cars handling whilst lowering the car slightly to really give this 997 an individual look.

The cars Performance and Handling have also been enhanced to match its stunning looks. The cars sits on BC Racing adjustable coil-overs and engine performance has been enhanced via RaceChip XLR tuning box and a switchable performance exhaust now gives this 997 a soundtrack befitting its looks. An android colour touch-screen infotainment head unit in keeping with the interior trim and switchgear has been installed featuring CarPlay, Bluetooth, Navigation and Reversing Camera. A Garmin dash-cam is also installed.

On the road, this 997 really does deliver all the fun and thrills you could ask for. The rebuilt engine provides serious punch whilst the switchable sports exhaust provides an addictive flat-six soundtrack. Probably not one for the OEM purist, however If you like your 911's turned up to 11, then this stunning example certainly ticks the box! The Moshammer 997 looks fabulous with its 'clean' plate-free nose, but does come supplied with a road legal front numberplate.
