Road-legal Clio 182 track car, MOT May 2026
I've owned this four years and it's been my pride and joy. Only done 4 track days since it was converted from a road car in late 2020 - never crashed - not even had so much as an off in it. Handles superbly on track.
Over the last few winters I've given this an extensive under-body restoration - rear beam and fuel tank out, rear section of sills replaced on both sides. O/S/F jacking point completely rebuilt. Search 'Cliosport old crusty' for a detailed log of the restoration with photos.
**Engine mods**
"fatty" Induction kit
MT90 Gearbox oil (better suited for track cars)
Polybushed dog bone and side engine mount

Cat-back exhaust system x3 silencers for track compliance (easy pass on noise at Thruxton)
**Suspension/brakes**
Braided lines including rear axle, Motul 660 fluid
Drilled and grooved discs, still in great condition
PBS Pro Race front pads Brembo rear pads, lots of life left

Nankang NS2R tyres all round, good tread remaining
Front foglights replaced with brake cooling ducts and piping
**Interior/exterior**
Rear cage with metal spreader plates on floor

"Jon Foz" low seat mounts
As-new BB bucket seats (Bride Lowmax copies)
Custom-made adjustable centre arm rest
Genuine MOMO wheel
All carpets and sound deadening removed. Inside sprayed black, grip tape applied to footwells

Reconditioned injectors
New NGK plugs
New HT leads
New lower control arms and ball joints
New Valeo clutch
New slide pins in both rear callipers
Belts and dephaser changed May 2022 with proof (only 1500 miles ago)
Before going to the expense of having the belts changed I did a compression test on the engine to ensure it was healthy - it recorded over 190 PSI on all cylinders (I have photos to prove). Pulls hard, no issues or faults in any gear.

**Bad points**
ABS light occasionally comes on during a long drive
Radio doesn't get any reception
Paint isn't the best, but no obvious damage or dents
Some interior plastics are sticky - common issue
