This is a 1980 VW Golf GTI on a W registration, featuring the sought-after Swallowtail rear panel – one of the very last to be made before the transition to later Mk1 design updates.

• Mechanicals: Engine runs well it was rolling road tested before I owned it an produced 172bhp on high octane fuel. It still pulls really well with no smoke from the exhaust and doesn’t burn any oil or coolant.
