TVR Tuscan 2 4.0 litre Speed 6 29k miles from new

My own car for the last 4 years so has been maintained regardless of cost in our own workshop and has been extensively developed and improved during my ownership to bring you a fully sorted mechanically faultless example.

It is a very late regsitered Mk2 and very rare to be found on a 2007 plate as the factory closed in 2006 so this is likely to be an early 2006 production car.

Presented in Cerrion Silver metalic with dark olive and grey interior this colour really comes alive when the sun hits it, its like liquid chrome!

The car has a full service history file and has just had a fresh 12k service,it comes with our in house backed 12 months / 12k mile warranty and MOT until March 2026. Comes with 2 sets of fobs

The car was orginally a 3.6 but last year at 27k miles it suffered the inevitible timing chain haf time bearing rumble so the decision was made to pull the engine and a full rebuild was carried out by Simon Wood ex TVR factory race engine builder. I took the opportunity to build the engine into a 4 littre and Simon managed to find an original factory billet steel crank and set of correct Tuscan S pistons and rods. We fitted a Motaclan CNC ported cylinder head and the car had previously had installed some later developed Newman high lift cams and these were re-used so effectivley the engine is 4 litre "S" spec.

The engine was reinstalled with a reconditioned clutch, new Raceproved slave cylinder and new clutch master cylinder, Bosch Green injectors, new coil pack, rebuilt throttle bodies with spindle bearing upgrade, new electronic throttle position sensors and new catalytic converters. Since rebuild the engine has been carefully run in and has just had its first service after rebuild and valve clearances re-checked which were all perfect. This is the smoothest most well balanced Speed 6 engine we have encountered in 20 years.

The car runs an OMEX ecu previously installed by Racing Green who did extensive work on the car in its early life including a tubular equal length primaries exhaust manifold

Earlier on last year we did a full suspension rebuild with Powerflex poly bushes throughout and new Mk4 Tuscan S bilstein dampers and new eibach springs, we also treated it to a new set of Motaclan FORGED Spider alloys and Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres so the handling is pin sharp and the car is an absolute joy to drive

Paintwork is vitually all original so has age related marks, chips and a few scratches but its never been damaged, the roof rear hoop section has been painted at some stage as they often get chipped taking the roof on and off and it has a few chips again now but every where else is original and untouched. There is one annoying scratch right under the front badge on the bonnet.

Some negotiation will be considered on the price due to the paintwork, normally I would have got the few bits of paint needed done in our bodyshop but its so original I wanted to present it as such, plus our bodyshop is far too busy at the moment to accomodate my own car! So there is a deal to be done around whether we do some paint now for the buyer or do a deal to rectify in the future say over winter, or sell as is.

Interior is as original and in really good condition, no major wear rips or tears to any of the leather or seats and it is a lovely place to be. More interior pics will be added later

Chassis is free from corrosion and has has a light coating of waxoil done previous to my ownership which now looks dirty but is there to protect, if you wanted a pristine clean chassis then this would easily clean off, there is no heavy black underseal type coatings anywhere so no horrror stories being hidden it is all visible and the car can be inspected on a ramp in our workshop.

Everything else is in perfect working order, all the electrics work, the gearbox is silky smooth, clutch light and progressive, diff and brakes work as they should, (new pads just fitted) it really wants for nothing, it even has working air con, welll as much as TVR AC works anyway!

As you can imagine from reading the above description this car was a "keeper" so as I said at the begining no expense spared but a new opportunity has presented itself that I am struggling to resist so the Tuscan has to go to fund that plus I need to put more money into our track car projects else they're never going to get done.

It has been immense owning this car and its probably the longest period of ownership of any of the TVRs I have owned and I have had some epics trips in it around Scotland Ireland and Wales so it will be sorely missed, its the most useable and practical TVR I have had with absolutely epic performance.

We will be happy to continue to look after this car for the next owner but are also happy to let you take it to another TVR Network specialist for warranty work if necessary.The reason we are able and confident to offer the level of warranty we do is because we make sure we rectify any faults before cars leave us, we don't sell you a worthless warranty that never pays out, we back the cars we sell ourselves so its in our own interests to make sure the car leaves us without fault
