Cruise control, 6-cd changer, heated seats, rare tweed upholstered seats in great condition. Complete original Jaguar tool kit and jack. Recently shown at the Coventry MotoFest XJS 50th year celebrations.

Originally a Japanese market car imported to the U.K. in 2019, hence the great condition of the bodywork. Imported by Concours Motors in Solihull. Prior to my ownership it stood for a couple of years during Covid, but since 2021 has been in frequent use, driving a few thousand miles a year, MOT with no advisories from April 2025. Unmolested and unrestored, I've just kept on top of maintenance and any jobs that needed doing. Garaged when not in use. In the sunny months this has been my daily driver, from commuting to long trips for holidays and family visits, and it has handled everything with style. The tweed seats are a particular highlight, being relatively rare, aging much better than leather, and in great original condition.

I bought this car looking for an XJS that I could run and enjoy immediately without getting into any major work, and it has not disappointed. Overall it is in very original condition, with parts replaced with quality replacements when needed. Unfortunately I'm finding I just don't have the time to enjoy this car as much as I should, and I believe this gorgeous coupé needs to go to someone with the time to enjoy it and keep it at its best.

Service history for its UK ownership, but unfortunately no records of its life in Japan aside from import paperwork. This car has clearly been loved and maintained though, and at only 60,000 miles from 1991 to 2021 that gives a lot of confidence. Any inspections welcome.

There are a few items that you might want to improve, sharing now for transparency:

- Interior wood veneer cracked… common issue and replacement would elevate the interior

- A/C system needs re-gas - I've got by with blowers only

- Original speakers would benefit from replacement

- Front shocks are a bit tired

- The bodywork and powertrain are both in excellent condition

- Fresh MOT in April 2025, jump in and drive, no advisories

- The ‘early facelift’ models are to me the sweet spot of XJS production. They have the galvanised body panels to resist corrosion, the bulletproof AJ6 engine, and the revised rear windows and tail lights, but retain the classic original style black and chrome bumpers.

If you want a gorgeous classic to use as-is, you can jump in and drive (as I have for the last 4.5 years!) Alternatively, with such a solid chassis, body and powertrain in unmolested original condition, this would make a fantastic foundation for a light restoration to get it ‘as new’.
