Caterham Seven 1600 GT, 1983 Lotus 7 mk II PRISONER TRIBUTE , Stunning example , finished in immaculate unmarked British Racing Green with Lotus Yellow nose cone , New Red leather trim and dashboard, 1600 Ford GT engine with reconditioned DCOE 40 Webers, Holbay Lotus rocker cover , 4 speed Ford gearbox with a live axle as it should be at this age , new specially commissioned stainless exhaust, its a original matching number engine so presuming by the rocker cover that its Holbay built, Sold new by Caterham as a very rare factory built car to Kiwa Trading of Japan , This Caterham has lived in a dry climate and has never had rust on its chassis and has needed no repairs or restoration, ,just 3 Japanese owners only from new with the last owner keeping it for 30 years, 44 ,000 miles only over 42 years, 1000 miles a year, Imported by myself and professionally detailed regardless of cost to imitate Patrick McGoohans 1960s Lotus Seven Mk II "KAR 120C" from the 60s Prisoner TV show, Very rare to be Factory built as they could only be factory built for export, comes complete with supporting Caterham provenance certificate, still on its perfect original rust free chassis and with its original roof and weather equipment, Imported by me this year from a warm dry climate where its probably never seen rain , drives perfectly ,starts on the button , needs nothing, new MOT included , thousands spent to get it to this stunning condition, ready to drive show or collect, now registered in the UK as FLF 106Y and in some ways this numbers better as its age related for 1983, registered as Historic but has a fresh MOT with no advisories , really must be seen to be appreciated , there are £7,000 of Japanese invoices over its years and I have spent £5,000 detailing it to this specification, the number plate shown can be bought by negotiation , call me for more details, UK delivery can be arranged.
