ALFA ROMEO ALFA GT V6 24V 2006

FOR SALE: A superb 3.2 V6 Busso engine GT with 18-inch wheels and just 46k miles from new, FSH, recently serviced and MOT’d. Ready to be enjoyed and appreciated by the new Alfisti owner. The Gran Turismo combines all the benefits and specification of the 147 and 156 GTA. It was the last Alfa model to receive the Busso, whilst offering great space for 4 adults and luggage for those special tours (yes, it has been to Le Mans twice). Original Alfa parts sourced and used for servicing and where preferential, third party brands (e.g. SKF Cambelt kits better than original Alfa). Always serviced with correct specification oils and oil filter always changed. Usually SORN’d over winter months each year during my 16 years of ownership.

EXTERIOR

Beautiful Stromboli Grigio metallic, this low mileage GT V6 is in great condition. The metallic paintwork remains extremely shiny without any lacquer issues and has been regularly waxed and polished to add protection from the elements. Other than a few small marks and chips there is little else to report. The car sits on factory-spec’d 18-inch wheels that fill the arches perfectly, and they’re shod in matching Michelin Pilot Sport and BF Goodridge tyres. All wheels are in good condition and have only minor kerb marks.

INTERIOR

In line with the low mileage the leather seats remain in great condition. The leather upholstery remains notably soft and has been regularly cleaned and fed with autoglym products. The seat bolsters are in great condition, consistent with the low mileage and use. The grey centre console trims are unmarked, the steering wheel is free from excessive wear and shine, and the footwell carpets are well protected by a full set of Alfa GT mats. Everything works as it should, including the air con. The boot is protected by an Alfa boot liner tray.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Arguably one of the best engines. This GT is fitted with the legendary 24v ‘Busso’ V6 engine (the same as the 147 GTA and 156 GTA) providing a wonderful and sonorous soundtrack and effortless silky-smooth acceleration and driving. The car has always been regularly serviced at close mileage intervals with recommended synthetic oil and filter changed, at Alfa Dealers, Alfa Specialists and a local specialist, with the most recent service, cambelt and tensioners changed and MOT carried out (with no advisories) at the end of April 2025. HISTORY FILE

The car was first registered in the UK on 25.11.2006 and was acquired by me on 16.12.2008 when the mileage was 17000 miles. The logbook shows 2 previous owners. The current number plate will be retained by me and replaced with a 2006 56 plate (possibly the original registration number). The accompanying History File comprises the original Alfa Romeo document wallet with all handbooks, the original service book, a raft of maintenance invoices, and numerous MOT certificates. Anti roll bar bushes upgraded, Powerflex 23mm. Genuine Alfa front upper wishbones replaced. Gearbox oil changed. Brake fluid changed. Performance Friction front pads and new front discs fitted. Oil cooler pipes inspected and cleaned. Underseal applied as long term preventative measure (no rust prior to undersealing).

09.08.2017 108,000 mile service by Dan at AUTOLUSSO Penrith. Recorded mileage at 45055. Full Service including oil and filter change. Cambelt, tensioners, idlers and spark plugs changed. Aluminium undertray fitted (better ground clearance).

01.05.2018 Minor Service and MOT by P&R Benn. Recorded mileage 45753.

SORN’d late 2018. I bought an old Alfa 146 TS and we also had two other cars. Working abroad since 2019. Garaged with car cover and regular restarted and checked during this period.

24.06.2025 120,000 mile service by P&R Benn. Recorded mileage at 46603 miles. Full Service and inspection with fluids replaced where necessary including Petronus Syntium Racer 10W-60 Fully Synthetic Oil and Oil Filter changed, new rear brake pads and MOT (no advisories).

26.04.2025 at 46653 miles – AUTOLUSSO Penrith. SKF Cambelt, Tensioners and Idlers and Spark Plugs changed. Water pump inspected by not required to be changed. Coolant replaced and new coolant bottle fitted. Preventative inspection carried out for peace of mind. Nothing noted or required.
