In our dedication to special Porsches, we occasionally uncover something that goes beyond special - regardless of price point - and this is one such occasion: a genuine one-owner-from-new, manual coupe Carrera S with just 29k miles, finished in Paint to Sample/Special Order Slate Grey Metallic - a legendary colour that whispers heritage and turns heads among fellow Porsche-files.

Ordered and clearly cherished from day one, it's the condition that has left us genuinely stunned. The interior presents exactly as these cars did when new - it even smells new and the leather is still mat finish- with little touches like the door shut and window seals feeling as fresh as a delivery-mile car. It's accompanied by a perfect provenance file inlcuding the supplying spec related correspondance which is wonderful to read with servicing carried out first by the supplying main dealer and later by the highly respected RPM Technik. The spec is enthusiast-led without being overdone. This is a manual, rear-wheel-drive Carrera S powered by the 3.8-litre flat-six - raw, naturally aspirated, and increasingly rare. It rides on 19" SportDesign wheels and features Black leather, heated seats, BOSE surround sound, rear ParkAssist, cruise control, and the three-spoke sports steering wheel in smooth leather. Finishing touches include stainless steel tailpipes, Slate Grey Metallic, and Porsche Vehicle Tracking.

997s are rightly gaining momentum as future classics - especially in Paint to Sample, manual form with known provenance. They represent the last of the analogue-era 911s before the shift to direct injection and PDK - a sweet spot of raw character and real-world usability.
