⭕ VEHICLE SUMMARY

A limited-run Evo VI, created to celebrate Tommi Makinen's fourth consecutive WRC Drivers title with Mitsubishi.

First unveiled in December 1999 in Tokyo, the Tommi Makinen Edition was more than just a cosmetic tribute it was a serious homologation special. Building on the Evo VIs already impressive platform, the Tommi Makinen Edition received several upgrades, including a titanium-alloy twin-scroll turbo, a 10mm lower ride height, and a quicker steering rack. Externally, the front bumper was redesigned to improve airflow to the intercooler, oil cooler, and brakes. 17-inch white Enkei wheels were fitted, along with Ralliart stripes. Inside, the car featured Tommi Makinen Edition - embroidered Recaro seats, a Momo steering wheel, and a gearstick with red stitching.

This particular car was imported into the UK from Japan in 2021 by our vendor, who entrusted his driving life long known JDM specialists to restore it to the beautiful standard you see here. This was actioned in 2022, with a large part of the work focusing on the underside of the car. The seller has had the paint depth checked on all exterior panels to confirm that they are believed to be factory original, and the ECU has also been diagnosed to show speed limiter still in place and factory standard.
