1988 Ford Sierra RS Cosworth in Crystal Blue Metallic. First Registered in April 1988 by Route One Ford, RS Motorsport Centre Manchester. Its original plate was E600 AVM. Its had 6 previous keepers, and we have a record of all of them. It also used to wear the plate A11 KEN. When this was removed DVLA allocated it E603 CTU. We have the original bookpack and service book with 6 stamps from the early part of its life. We have a history folder containing details of owners, receipts, old MOTs and a log of work been done to it over the years. It appears the car was in storage and unused between early 2000s and 2022 when the last owner got it. It was part of a small collection but it was sold to us as a car that he used to own has came up for sale and he wants it back. The car comes with a current MOT and is mechanically very good. The last owner had recommissioned it after getting it out of storage. It will need a couple of repairs underneath to bring it back up to scratch, but its a nice original survivor car.Body - 4 door Sapphire Cosworth. Number still intact on floor and clearly visible. Good inner wings, crossmember, rear chassis legs. Good in boot floor. Will need work on front drivers side jacking point area. A panel is available for this these days so a fairly easy repair. It will also need a repair on each side at the rear of the sill. The rest is very good and pretty clean and not caked in underseal or similar. Paintwork is tidy and looks fairly original. Bit of bubbling on both rear arches and front of bonnet lip needs looked at. Mechanics - Car starts runs and drives very well and is still MOTD till October. It looks to have been recommissioned in 2022. Its had the tank replaced, exhaust replaced, timing belt, water pump and service. It drives lovely and feels nice and tight. The engine is quiet, gearbox, clutch and brakes are good. Dump valve, aftermarket air filter and silicone hoses fitted. Im told its otherwise standard.Interior - All original interior. No cracks on dashtop. Seats are good , as are the doorcards and carpet. Nice tidy example insideWheels - Look to have been refurbed fairly recently and have good Yokohama matching tyres all round.This is a good fairly original old car which needs a little work but once its done youll have a very nice example, which hasnt broken the bank in cosworth terms. These cars are continuing to rise in price, and will continue to rise. Yes, some classics are dropping but cars from the 80s and 90s are by far the strongest performing classics at the moment and are still a sound investment.You are welcome to come and see the car.
