Description
I am selling my immaculate 997 meteor grey with full grey leather trim cabriolet.
It was registered on the 1st September 2007 and as such is possibly one of the very last of the 997.1
The engine is making a tapping sound which I am advised is probably bore scoring and therefore at some time will need attention to remedy the issue.
At the moment car drives faultlessly and with the exception of the tapping on tick over, it runs as it should.
It has an extensive service record from both Porsche OPC and well know independent Porsche specialists.
Its last Mot on the 8th of January this year was passed with no advisories.
As I hope you will see from the photographs the body and paintwork are immaculate, the Trim is virtually unmarked and the hood itself is in exceptional condition and to the best of my knowledge the car has suffered no previous damage.
A Pioneer DA10 DAB radio has replaced the original Porsche radio, and the wind deflector is present.
The wheels are Design sport 19" in Bronze with the exhaust tips and front grills colour coded in Bronze to match.
Recent major works other than servicing includes:
New Alternator £857 at 110K miles
N/S window regulator replaced £509
Cabriolet roof mechanism drive unit and parts replaced £3040
Roof control module replaced £876
Front axle coolant pipe replaced £1336
New clutch, RMS and IMS seal including brake discs and pads and service £2789 (sept 22) 102k miles
The decision to sell has not come easy, the car is immaculate, has had substantial expenditure on things that really matter to manual Cabriolets (the roof mechanism and the replacement clutch), has generally been very well looked after and is a credit to its previous owners. (and me!)
