2005 Renault

Regrettably I am selling my Renaultsport Clio 182 Trophy, number 258/500 made. I have owned other Renaultsport Clio's and this has been by far the best, with its fantastic Sachs suspension and Recaro half leather sports seats.

I have owned this car for almost two years, and it has been faultless. I bought the car from the previous owner who had owned it since new, when it had covered around 39000 miles.

The car has many standard features, which include:

- Half leather Recaro seats

- Sachs dampers

- Eibach front springs

- Cruise control

- Air conditioning

- Traction control

During my ownership, the all important cambelt service has been completed, which included changing the following items:

- Cambelt kit

- Aux belt kit

- Dephaser pulley

- Cambelt cover

- Camshaft seals

- An oil and filter change using 5W40 oil

This service was carried out by a very well known Renaultsport specialist called BTM Performance in May 2012 when the car had covered 40527 miles. The cambelt will not need changing again until May 2017, or until the car has covered another 47000 miles, whichever comes sooner. The car was also checked over by BTM Performance, and I was informed that it is in very good mechanical condition.

In October 2013, the front Sachs dampers were removed from the car and sent to Cornering Force in Harrogate to be fully stripped, cleaned and rebuilt with new seals. The dampers were only recently refitted to the car in February 2014, so have covered less than 1000 miles since being rebuilt. The rear dampers were also replaced with very high quality adjustable Koni dampers, as one of them failed. The car drives brilliantly with these fresh suspension components.

Also fitted to the car is a stainless steel KTEC exhaust system which was fitted when the original exhaust started to rust, which is a common problem with these cars. The system has a nice sporty note when accelerating, but is in no way intrusive when on motorway journeys.

The car has also had the bonnet catch recall completed by Renault, where they replaced the entire bonnect catch mechanism.

Work carried out since I purchased the car:

- Cambelt service

- Sachs damper service

- Koni rear shocks

- Genuine cat to manifold sealing kit

- New genuine NGK spark plugs (May 2012)

- New exhaust mounts

- New front discs and pads

- New rear discs and pads including wheel bearings

- 4 new tyres (Hankook V12 Evo)

- Both track rod ends

- Rear number plate light unit

- Full coolant flush and change using genuine Renault coolant and a new thermostat

- New coolant expansion tank

- Full brake fluid change all round with Pagid Super Blue DOT4

- Stainless steel braided brake lines fitted

- New style Renaultsport rear badge

- New Bosch S3 battery (July 2013) with 3 year warranty

- Gearbox oil changed

There is a folder full of receipts to prove that all of this work was completed.

The car has also been serviced regularly using Shell Helix Ultra 5W40 oil, with receipts present.

As can be seen from the extensive list of work carried out in my ownership, no expense has been spared when its comes to this car, as it has been my pride and joy throughout the time I have owned it. I have always ran the car on Shell V-Power fuel whenever possible, and washed and polished the car at every opportunity.

The car has MOT until September 2014 with no advisories, and tax until August 2014.

The only reason I am selling this car, is because I have the opportunity to purchase my neighbours Renaultsport Megane 250 Cup, otherwise I would be keeping it.
