Sporting the essential GT side decals in gold and period-correct 12-inch Compomotive alloys shod in grippy Yokohama tyres, this GT offers a fabulous driving experience found nowhere else other than in the thrill of the sporty minis of this era.
A charming and useable example of this much-loved model which was billed as the replacement to the Cooper S, the Mini 1275GT featured the proven 1275cc 4-cylinder engine with 60BHP.
Built between 1969 and 1980, making this one of the very last, the 1275GT is distinctive with the Roy Haynes design Clubman flat front end. Creature comforts included heated rear screen, two speed wipers, opening rear quarter lights, interior light and twin ‘eyeball’ vents with heater.
Presented in excellent order with matching engine and body numbers, and a verifiable 54,000 miles, this splendid GT comes with a file of old MOTs along with a wealth of original service history and the delightfully original ‘Passport to Service’ book with several early service stamps.
The correct ‘Deck chair’ grey/black fabric seats present splendidly and its originality is in supported further with its leather bound ‘boomerang’ steering wheel, 3 Clock dashboard and Sundym Tinted windows with opening rear 1/4 lights.
Back in the 70’s, numerous music personalities including Jimi Hendrix helped make the black GT the cool car it was, and the cool car it remains today. Just gimme the keys!
