THE BIKE SPECIALISTS, TRADING STANDARD AWARD WINNERS. We are proud to offer our stunning example of the later 2nd generation version of the Ducati 749R. Our motorcycle is number 339 of a limited run and is one of the best we've seen having covered just 1,852 miles. The 2nd generation models were supplied with a new, high-tech polymer plastic panels that replaced the earlier carbon fibre ones. Along with this came a slight change in Ducati's design of the nose piece, which now had only 2 air openings in the front (instead of the original 4) and a slightly higher and wider profile. The bike is supplied with 3 keys and comes fitted with a Ducati performance carbon clutch cover and will also benefit from a full belt service and MOT prior to sale. The 'R' version of the 749 was specifically built to win the World Super Sport championship. At the time it was the highest specification Ducati to have left the factory. The Supersport championship had very strict rules about altering of engines and stock parts so Ducati built this bike as an out and out racer straight from the factory. The model is above and beyond the 749S with larger valves, lighter body, shorter stroke and a higher RPM and hence more torque and power. The 749R also came with a larger tank, slipper clutch, Ohlins forks, racing cams, and titanium valves. We are able to arrange finance packages to suit and can deliver the bike UK and worldwide.
