2005 Maserati

This car (March 2005) has had four previous owners from new, including the current vendor, and has been in the current ownership since November 2013. Finished in silver grey metallic with a black leather interior, it has a 6-speed DuoSelect paddle-shift gearbox. Packed full of all the luxuries you would expect in a £70,000 car including built-in sat nav, electric heated memory front seats, electric rear seats, electric rear window blind, front and rear parking sensors, electric mirrors (one with faulty heating), Xenon headlights with electric washers and a CD auto-changer.

It has clocked up 88,000 miles to date with a full service history comprising 11 stamps to date. It had a new clutch fitted in 2011 and all new brake discs and pads in 2010 . It has had front bushes replaced, and four new tyres fitted in 2014. This car was put into dry storage and SORN’d in February 2015 being regularly started and moved. It was serviced immediately before storage and came out of storage and sailed through its MOT in Sept 2017 with no advisories. In very good condition for its age and mileage with just a few minor stone chips here and there, it is taxed and MOT’d until Sept 2018. Known faults, apart from the aforementioned mirror is that, like many Maseratis and Ferraris of this age, it suffers from some sticky dash issues. Easily, if tediously, solved. Powered by a magnificent Ferrari-developed dry sump 32-valve 4.2-litre V8 producing 400bhp and 340lb/ft of torque, when introduced, the Maserati Quattroporte sprints to 60 in just 5.2 seconds with a top speed of 171 mph. With a wonderfully cosseting interior and capable of 25 mpg on a run, it is also blessed with one of the finest exhaust notes ever.
