Early Xmas Present from Northants Police
Discussion
Well, it had to happen sooner or later.
36 in a 30 bleedin' mph limit. Some gimp in a van pointing his camera at me. I was only going for a Christmas tree, FFS.
I wouldn't mind, but this was literally 10 yards away from where the road goes from 30 to NSL - its at Kilsby, for the VMAX-ers who come for breakfast. Seems all of our village has been clobbered by this communist at some point.
60 cheques for a pound to be written to the fascist bullies at Northants "Safety" Camera Partnership. Wankers.
Disgusted of Daventry.

Tonyrec said:Tony, please don't think in any way this was directed at ANY of the BiB on this forum mate.
Only goes to re inforce my point that this is a complete and utter waste of time and resources.
Bad luck Greg but we all seem to be 'fair' game in this totally pointless exercise.
Dont let it get you down mate...............there are people out there doing a good job.
I'm just ed off at the utter lack of discretion that these do-gooders show at these sort of minor misdemeanours.
Not happy!
Merry Xmas Tony
Dont suppose anyone could define the word "Caltrop" for me, could they?
I'm sure I heard someone mentioning that vans tended to park up in the same place all the time, and usually in a place where Joe Public wouldnt normally park, and that word sprang to mind.
Cant seem to see a connection, but

I might have dreamed this, but isn't there a rule where they
can't issue a speeding ticket within so many [ 100 ? ] yards of
a speed limit change ?
Might be worth looking into.

If you go to court, the partnership don't get your wonga.
Also, consider settling the bill with £60 in 1p pieces.
They will be getting at least 60 cheques for £1.
Never been to court though, and as I'm an alleged criminal, is it worth going in front of the beak?
Problem with going to court is you run the risk of extra points or a heavier fine plus costs for being a cheeky git and not taking your punishment like a heinous criminal/menace to society should.
First thing to do is to use all diligence in trying to establish who was driving by getting a photograph. Make the s work for there money....
