Paul on the Radio
Discussion

No, we heard it, and both me and colleagues were fuming at the derogatory remarks made by Ladyman against Safespeed – and Paul wasn’t allowed a retort to it!
Blairs Broadcasting Company, it is indeed.

Very staged - Very open questions.
Like you say he laid into Paul but never answered any of Pauls questions eg. More Traffic Patrols.
Disgraceful IMO
Well he doesn't take organisations like SafeSpeed seriously, says it all really, he has an over simplistic view of the problem. He doesn't seem to be able to differentiate between dangerous nutter driving and exceeding a speed limit and we employ this cock.
I really don't know why you bother entering into discussions like this Paul, the bloke responds to your comments but you're not allowed to "discuss" his rubbishing of your comments. An absolute waste of time that you must find infuriating.

Surely as the BBC's charter stipulates that it must be impartial (well I think it does) - is there not an ombudsman for the BBC that can be contacted?
I complained to them about impartiality concerning another radio interview some months back when IMO Paul was severely restricted compared to the opponent (It may have been the moonbat interview, I can't remember).
Either way I had an email saying "We are impartial nah nah ner nah nah, we're not listening, nah nah, but your complaint will be held on record and ignored"
Actually that's not a direct quote, but it was something along those lines.
BBC went down the pan years ago.
Best to just ignore the propoganda channel.
ARGGHHH, ladyboy is such a spaz!
He seems to think a sign will stop bad drivers driving too fast!?
He needs police there to do it, so why they don't just decide in the first place?
Complete tw4t... anyone up for a revolution? (failing that, how about someone words a nice letter to Ladyboy saying we want him removed as minister for transport for ignoring our road safety (real, not his pretend version) and get some signatures?)

Paul mate, I know I speak for all of us when I say keep up the good work.
It would have been alot more interesting if they allowed a proper dabate between Safespeed and Ladyman, which makes me think that ladyman only agreed to take part if he could state his rehearsed piece without risk of questioning from safespeed, hence no chance for Paul to get the upper hand. Very good points put across by Paul nevertheless.
Paul, did you know in advance you would only have a couple of minutes, and no chance to remark on Ladyman's comments? Would have been so nice to get in "he's not a Minister that road safety can take seriously, what with nine penalty points and all" .

Well I hope you're right, at least you're getting the chance on national radio to get your points across. Ladyboy appeared not to listen to you and not have the faintest idea what SafeSpeed is about. It would wind me up no end entering into discussions when you know that you're correct and yet the "expert" and bloke in authority won't listen to what you have to say.
Anyway, I've emailed them with a letter of complaint.

It's not unusual for government ministers to appear 'on condition that...'. I wasn't surprised, although I didn't know in advance.

If he can't face me in debate, that speaks volumes, don't you think?

got a link joolz?
Here www.bbc.co.uk/complaints/make_complaint_step1.shtml
If it doesn't work, goto the link in this thread then "Join the messageboard discusion" (under Clives pic). Then click on that then "Complaints" link in the left hand column, then page down to "BBC Complaints website" then "email your complaint".
