S Series models
Discussion
OK as promised at the last mid-Essex meet I have finally managed to post some details on my site, (under news and articles - please see my profile for site address) of the proposed S Series models I am producing.
I really need some feed back on colours as I can only produce four different colours in the initial run of 500 cars and of course which derivative i.e. S1, S2, V8 etc.
The most popular colours and derivative will be produced later this year once the prototypes are finished.
Each car will be hand built and cost around £60-65 with discount for TVRCC members.

Mica Blue must be the most popular "S" colour as i ve seen more than any other colour
The V8S was built using BRG on many cars, but there were alot of different greens used
So IMHO top two are:-
Mica blue
British racing green
Although i believe TVR used approx 12 different greens
Then IMHO its probably from :-
Mica red
Storm grey
Monza red
derivative :- not fair the rest outnumber the V8S
Oh and dont forget the S3 also used the chim bonnet on some cars
So your number one car is a mica blue V8S

Thanks Podie, I kinda made up my mind on those three colours too but the problem we have is which S to build first. Being biased I'm leaning towards the S3 of course but depending on response this may change.
Once I have the prototypes produced however, we can then think about producing the others, again depending on demand.
Cheers

SMTS/Bulldog have already done the V8S so I would of thought there'd be more call for a 2 or 3 as these were also the highest volume produced. Colours would have to be most popular, dk blue/red/BRG and maybe a silver or white or even yellow. Put me down for one, preferably in a light colour.
Would your mould be adaptable to produce a Tuscan racer as the shape is similar and one has never been produced. I think over the years this has been a missed oportunity, with all the different sponsors there have been.
I look forward to seeing the fiished article.
Cheers, Al.

Yes you are right on the S3 bonnet but here again if it's the S3 that gets built first we may have to compromise a little.
In terms of the 500 limited number this is not really a factor when looking at the number of real cars sold or produced as TVR models in particular are in demand amongst collectors as well as owners past and present.
Price however is a factor which is why we have limited each run of cars to a maximum of 500. Each one will be hand built and be a very high quality finish so much so, it will probably put my car to shame!

I think you should build the V8S first, as the owners are more likely to afford the model
nah, the V6 owners will have all their spare change from the better mpg and still keeping up with the V8 boys
I thought the spare change from running the V6 was to keep a good stock of ready use exhausts, down pipes, throttle pots, throtttle cables, Leven go faster bits et al
Harry
Someone on here recently posted numbers of each colour TVR produced for the S. Haven't done a search myself, but I'm sure it'd soon turn up if you did.
What size/scale are these likely to be?
Oh and.. Cooper Green V8S please!
Edited to add the following link to the thread I mentioned above...

Poodie is your mission today to point fault or potential fault in my posts . If so then I think you may need to re-examine who's the happy bunny. All I have done is post comments 'on topic' (well almost on-topic ), whilst you seem to have stalked my posts and posted comments on my post and not the threads themselves, if I'm wrong then 'ave a day off anyway .

Two comments on similar lines, hardly constitutes stalking dear boy. Still, apologies if it has riled you...
