I said there would be some more. I think these might be copies of the original sold on e-bay for (around) £45.00. Assuming there are no Copyright issues and the copy is complete ... a BiN price of £20.00 looks OK. I bought one yesterday and will post a review when it arrives.

Streaky

They are copies being sold by the winner of the original. They won it for 45 quid and are going to coin it in at 20 quid a copy
There is a member of this forum who is in the middle of doing a PDF copy of his original which he scanned at a very high resolution.
I wont mention his name unless he agrees.
Personally I would rather, pay/do a favour, to one of our brethren.

There is copyright and it is still owned by TVR. You can still get them from the factory at far less than £45 IIRC.

Just spoke to Mark Williams at TVR...
He has only one copy that is 16 years old (he's not parting with it)!

I notice that the BiN price has risen to £30.00 (I bought at £20).

I can't say what the condition of the document might be, as at the time of writing (9 days after purchase using PayPal) I haven't received my copy.

Streaky - has your copy arrived yet? Like you, I bought at £20 using paypal 13 days ago and despite a couple of emails haven't seen anything in the post yet .

Steve - not in today's post, and no response to my e-mail. It really pi55es me off when I pay immediately by PayPal (including the whatever percentage mark-up the seller charges to cover PP's costs) and don't get rapid delivery. I'll keep this thread informed of developments (or lack of).

I presume you bought from an e-mail address that includes the initials of a German car maker on AOL?

Streaky

PS - the feedback (for the above e-mail address used by the seller (a popular washing powder, a letter, a parent) is good (negatives refer to them in buying mode) and much speaks of fast delivery. I have requested a reply to my latest e-mail by noon Monday, after which I will inform Ebay of a possible problem. I will let you know when I do in case you want to too - S

I bought one as well with a BiN of £20 ten days ago. I did have a bid on the original but didnt feel like paying the £45 that it went for. I did however contact the seller in case the auction winner failed with payment so I could have next shout on it. The guy said he had another copy but it was minus the cover that I could have for £20 and he would put up as a BiN for £20 which Streaky beat me too. Another E-mail to him produced another copy, obviously photocopied, for the same price that I got and paid for with paypal. Although because my paypal account had to be changed I couldnt pay immediately he promised to send it anyway, that was almost two weeks back, and now, 10 days since i paid still no big heavy book has come through my letter box. I`m now more than a bit pi55ed off and will also contact e-bay regards a possible problem.

Before buying the copy on a BiN, I bid (up to) £20 in a straight auction (no BiN option). E-bay cancelled that lot because they de-registered the vendor (maybe I should have seen this coming?). When the BiN deal appeared I e-mailed the vendor to ask what had happened. He claimed to have forgotten to pay his Ebay fees, but had (then) done so and had been re-registered.

I'll wait until noon Monday before pinging Ebay. If either/both of Steve and Dave contact Ebay beforehand, please let me (and the other) know. It wouldn't hurt to say that you are aware that there are two other purchasers who have also not received their copies or had timely replies to questioning/complaining e-mails - Streaky

Streaky - How can this guy claim to have not paid his ebay fees, i thought they were charged direct from bank account when listing an item, i`m sure thats what happened to mine anyway. I have e-mailed him and made it known that i am in contact with others who have issues with his delivery and that no reply before 1800hrs monday will see the matter taken further. It may turn up yet and lets hope its worth waiting for.

I bid on the original and another one he forgot to put a reserve on (which I was outbid on at the end, went for 3.70 odd). I'm a bit reluctant to pay 30 quid for a copy though.
I hope it goes well for you guys.
Gareth.

Paper jam maybe!!!!!!!!!!!
There willbe a PDF version available around the 15th June(after his exams). He tells me that he needs a passenger side trailing arm so if we can help him on this i am sure it would help with the availability/price(i dont think he is out to make a profit anyway).Another certain Dutch member has also indicated the availability of some and has asked me if others are interested.
So how many people are interested? This is not a marketing ploy om my behalf
Also I will be lobying the TVRCC to publish it on their site (in the light of them refusing (in fact removing) alternative parts list for the Chim and S models. I dont see why they cant/wont publish this as it is official TVR stuff and they didnt have one to sell me!!
So I will start a thread on the TVRCC site later today and need you to back it. OK with you?

Streaky / Dave - yes, we're certainly talking about the same seller. I also had the same scenario as you with the cancelled auction / forgot to pay my fees etc. My last email (sent Friday) received a response from the chaps father saying that the guy himself was away for a few days but that he would be in touch that evening - so far nothing! I'm about to send an email saying that I'll be contacting ebay if no response by tomorrow evening - see what that does (if anything). I'll keep you both posted.

Herewith an e-mail dialogue:

{Seller} - very many thanks. I did hear that two other purchasers had not received their copies either. Sorry to hear you have been unwell, hope you're feeling better now. I'm looking forward to receiving the manual. There's no issue, nor will I make one if the item is received in good order and time. Appropriate feedback (hopefully positive) will be posted on receipt. kr - {Streaky}

Dear {Streaky}, there is no issue here unless of course you are intent on making one. Due to illness which required me to be away from home in the last few days i have been unable to send this item.
However I will make sure that it is in tomorrow's post, sent recorded delivery to you.
I will send you the ref number by e-mail tomorrow
