Ice Karting Bracknell Thursday 13th March - The details

The venue is now booked for Thursday 13th March. 19:00 to 21:15 at the John Nike Ice Rink in Bracknell:

For after the karting, dinner is booked at Kabirs Indian restaurant in Crowthorne

The price is £40 per driver, spectators are free. There will be 4 karts on the rink, so we will have 4 teams (good eh?). The first session will be driving around an oval course marked by car tyres on the ice, with driver changes announced by the organisers. The second session will have corners, and a chicane! and will be "enduro" stylee, each team deciding on how long each team member stays out.


They can cater for up to 40 drivers, but as this will mean less time on the ice per person, then the per person cost will be reduced. I think 28 drivers would be a better maximum to allow for a decent amount of driving each. I have paid a 25% deposit based on 20 people, i.e. £200. For budgeting purposes, I would like £15 per driver deposit, or £20 if you are driving and eating. I will reconcile the "balance" payments once we have finalised the numbers. Please note, in the event of you cancelling after paying the deposit, and we have less than 20 people, then deposits will not be returned. Food deposits will be deducted from your food bill.

I would like to suggest that we finalise the names and numbers once I have 28 deposits, or 10 days before the event, whichever happens first. So get your name down and deposit cheques in as soon as possible.

I am up for 2 places. I work at Lindt with Henry Ashurst. I organised a 25 person event last autumn at Sandown Pk, where many of the Piston Heads lot came alng. What is your address to send the cheque to and who shall I make it payable to?
