Had these two:

The wee tamiya outlasted the truck by years. In fact the shell of the truck lasted about an hour - long enough for a head on collison with the gas tank in a mate's garden!

I have the most fun car... Yokomo Drift spec Trueno.

Ok, so it doesnt do 70mph, but it does do VERY sideways on its special chassis/tyre setup. Mucho fun.....

Good video of them in action here.......

http://sgd.webthingythang.com/video/SGDrifters3.mpg (right click, save as, set to the music of "Letters to you" by Finch)

Its actually easy to drive sideways without spinning, but these guys are very good at syncronised stuff.

My current stable is... :

Raptor v2 Helicopter (souped up)
Zoom 400 Helicopter (souped up)
Piccolo Helicopter (souped up)
P-51 Mustang aeroplane (souped up)
Cessna 182 aeroplane (souped up - are we starting to see a trend here )
Kyosho Valencia Motor Glider (bog standard - brand new never built)

Over 63 radio controlled cars, 99% Tamiya - some new designs, most old. Vast majority in mint condition, some brand new in box some souped to hell and get ramped about, others I just dribble over.

It's an addiction and the one thing I can honestly say I know sh*t loads about...!!! Anyone wants to know anything, especially about Tamiya's them I'm your man...!

Collection has quadrupled in size since this pic was taken.

Edited to say, I have a further 5 buggies winging their way to me in the post as I write.

I spied a Fox in that lot, I have one of those! Also have a ZZ Top style body for it which is cool. I heavily modifed it with black engine and 8.4v, but it kept melting power leads, and it was nigh on impossible to drive in a straight line!

I also have a Subaru Impreza, which drifts nicely in the wet, but not as nicely as the ones in the vid above.

No cars here, sorry.

But do have

Pilatus Turboporter
Bf 109
Cessna 180
F100d

and a 1:22 Lockheed Starliner (which is ever so slightly large......)

Work in progress is a 1:11 TSR2 for twin fans.

All scratch built except the Bf 109.

The fox is a lovely car to drive. It was a bit heavy and the front suspension was a touch inadequate, but they went very well. Very much a 2WD 'Hosthot'. Once of my favourite cars though the Fox was a wiley car and did quite well in competition back in the day.

I had an Impreza based on the TL-01 chassis, but shifted it on eBay. Nice the TL-01's, not sure what your is.

There's some lovely stuff there. Blazing Blazer, Sand Scorcher and Super Champ were all fabulous models and still hold their own today when it comes to fun factor. The Hotshot is a legend. Horribly inefficient 4WD system gave it the 'Hotshot Noise' but they went superbly, that dual monoshock suspension working very well indeed - seriously good at soaking up the bumps.

Regards the Kyoshos, they are both good 'uns as well. I only defected to Kyosho when they released the Optima. Great car but woefully under-engineered unfortunately. About a half-hour of maintenance for every 10 mins driving...!

The Dogfighter was a good car - won wany world champs. I never fancied one though - I went on to Schumachers with the Top Cat, Cougar, Pro Cat and Boss Cat etc...

Home designed open frame high wing jobbie ASP12, JR X347 radio 36" Span

Martin Baker MB5 home designed 49" span, ASP 32
Aerobatic job, retracts, flaps & ASP75 around 65" Span

Haven't flown for around 3-4years now, but as the main drag of my time
which was the boat has gone, I hope to restart in 2006, but not a lot of flying
space around here, so maybe back to Norfolk where I used to live!

Middle phase advanced - first outing got it stuck in a seriously big tree in about a minute, took a month to get it back.
Orange box - Brilliant for relaxing with a light breeze
SAS Cobra (I think) - foamie thing

I have to say that model cars don't do a lot for me, and yet I'm not massively into full size 'planes either.
