As Suggested in the "Spotted" thread.......

A white escort cabriolet go from lane 2 on the A14 to the off ramp at J8 between 2 40 foot lorries and I reckon that if the back of the 2 lorries hadn't seen his stupidity and braked there would have been an accident. Said lorry ended up very nearly jackknifing and chaos further back was only avoided because the guy behind the lorry had left a gap to accelerate into the middle lane when it was safe to do so angel

Obviously the speed camera will have caught all of this and he will be prosecuted for dangerous driving rolleyes

Good thread thumbup
I've never understood people who miss their junction, and then shoot across 3 lanes of traffic to get off, either be aware, or just drive up to the next junction and turn around, its not like the massive signs telling you that you've got a mile before the junction are small and inconspicuous(sp) rolleyes

on my way to work on the A14 thismorning i saw a greenybluey corsa...............
what is so good about that i hear you ask.....
whats good about that is that it is still in one bit (i think), after what
can only be described as a dossey moose, decided to pay no attenion to her mirrors,
me coming down the slip-road next to her or the complete lack of cars in the fast lane, causing me to slam the brakes on to avoid her.
i could have forgiven that because people sometimes have 'slow' moments, but what
happened next caused me not to.
further up the A14 about 800yards ahead there was a removals van in a layby with
his indercator on wanting to join the carrageway, suer enough everyone in the slow
lane moved over to let the chap out all except mrs blissfull ignorance in the algy
green corsa causing him to hit the brakes and mount the verge.

Oh yeah. The other stupid thing I quite often find are idiots who suddenly seemt to think that their gutless Eurobox can race me.

Red sports car seems to equal drivers challenge.

For example, me making steady progress in outer lane of dual carriage way, generally overtaking. Come up to a point where soon the 2 lanes become one. Being aware of this I know I have plently of time to overtake the lead car before moving accross.

Coming upto this last car it's obvious to note the driver has spotted me in his side mirror and then puts his foot down making me speed up to continue overtaking in time!

Of course you get many more examples like this at traffic lights etc. And the idiots who feel that can chase you, cling right to your back bumper when you have had to slow down and losing them again as traffic clears ahead again. Often noted in mirrors that they may change lanes and do silly things to keep up.

One last rant... Those who pull out in really slow cars such as those nasty Matiz things (example happened today) as you are aproaching at a fair pace. Also, common sense would suggest that sports cars do tend to move more rapidly so pulling out in front of them will only cause unnecessary breaking and perhaps result in the progress (and fun) of the sports car being reduced!

Phew.

I'm off for a coffee!

Thanks TT for starting this thread enabling me to have a good ol rant! I feel much healthier now!

No need, it's easy to do yourself even if you are a techno-dunce.

Simply follow this nice simple step-by-step guide

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=21094&f=24&h=0

and it should be easy.
