I watched it tonight, saw the trailer and thought is looked good. I thought it was utterly terrible.
Hammond was crap, and I thought the animations were worse than cheapo 90's programmes.
Very disappointed.
I wanted to see more real stuff and it just seemed to rely way too much on computer graphics (ie lifting Trafalgar Square out of London). I wanted him to travel the underground and do so much more. Hammond was crap, and I thought the animations were worse than cheapo 90's programmes.
Very disappointed.
If I see him go up once more on that cherry picker over a fake earth then I will ...

I agree, it was pitched at a very low level. Hammond on the cherry-picker pretending to look at the model earth was sad too.Hammond was crap, and I thought the animations were worse than cheapo 90's programmes.
Very disappointed.
Arthur Dent: The Earth!
Slartibartfast: Well, the Earth Mark II, in fact. We're making a copy from our original blueprints.
Arthur Dent: Are you telling me you originally made the Earth?
Slartibartfast: Oh, yes. Did you ever go to a place - I think it was called Norway?
Arthur Dent: No. No, I didn't.
Slartibartfast: Pity. That was one of mine. Won an award, you know. Lovely crinkly edges.
