I have really got into them alot more recentley.
I still have all those videos.

They're on freeview channels quite often.

Anyone else watch them?

Pat and Carl are gods! Shame they were re-shuffled back in to normal BiB life after a while.

Living in Thames Valley, and the often visited town of Reading, we get our fair share of sights we know, and even one car stolen from our road was featured!

I've been watching loads in the last few days too! I Sky+ them then have them on in the background when I have to do some really tedious work like form filling in.

I reckon the BBC ones are the best, there are some good ones on Bravo too (something like Britcops frontline).

I dont think they went back to a normal BiB life, AFAIK, they now work for AVCIS. Nice work if you can get it.

I just wish the radio times would put a series/episode number next to Road Wars so I've got a chance of knowing if I've already seen them.

I like the new, younger, WPC (Roz??). She's very straight forward and swears back at the naughties wink

You have no idea... still will never be beaten by my fave clip... (although I have huge respect for the officers involved) routine Traffic stop in Hounslow, ended up with the passenger firing shots at the car, then the gunmens car stopped, out jumped his passenger who then started firing an AK47 at the car... the office was on the radio a few minutes later requesting new underpants...

was quite scary seeing somewhere that I knew so well in that context..

That bloke would have been gutted if it was an ARV that pulled him over for a 'routine traffic stop' hehe

Also thought ARVs carry guns in the boot? So would have had to jump out, showered in AK47 fire to get round to the boot.. Hmm.

Anyone notice that Ruffy from Road Wars is now a DC working in the National Car Crimes unit (can't remember its proper name), as seen on 'Cops, Cars and Criminals' on BBC1 - they were liberating cars from shipping containers at the docks last episode. He didn't get a speaking part this time though!

AFAIK they carry sidearms on their person, and they'll no doubt be a better shot than some young 'blud' blatting an AK47 out of a car window.

Negative on both counts.

ARVs, at least in my force and surrounding forces are primarily traffic vehicles until they are needed for an armed incident.

Also the officers in these vehicles have standing authority for sidearms, therefore always carry.

So its not like in films when they wiz round to the boot and its got a nice safe in it full of MP5's and G36c's?

So they have to carry a pistol on their belt the whole time?

Indeed smile Most people don't even notice.
