Oh dear. I've always disliked him. Now it seems that despite lampooning Barclays for its tax schemes, he has one himself.
Hoist by one's own petard, Jimmy. Hypocritical little tosspot.

Really? £20 a ticket (probably more) when they're on tour - 500 people a night absolute minimum = £10k per night takings plus merchandise. Chuck in a few arena shows where there's 10,000 people on the 50-70 date tour and it's big money. Good luck to them, but I was pretty amazed at the estimated earnings of some of them.
Touring costs for a comedian are nothing like that of a band (limtied set, couple of roadies, driver, tour manager, flunkie maybe) so the margins must be pretty good.

It cost £30k for him to appear for 30 minutes at our Xmas do last year.Bit of a diva he was too, wouldnt mingle before he went on, demanded the dining room be re-organised into rows of seats in front of the stage before he would perform and refused to mingle afterwards.
Big contrast to Ed Byrne the year before who happily had a few drinks with everyone, signed autographs, posed for photos etc.

Wasn't thinking of you as much as the way in which his name came out, clearly within the K2 club there will be people earning far more, and paying as little.
Agree the hypocrisy thing is not a good look, but I guess on the 10 o'clock live he just reads the stuff out. (Can't stand that show to much leftie crap from David Mitchell

In a way, yes. Observational humour is usually based on the personal opinions of the person making those observations. Or at least, that is what they would like us, the audience of gullible mugs, to believe.
I've always thought Carr had an temptingly smackable face. This just makes me want to smack it harder.
