Olympic brand police nonsense
Discussion
During the week I found myself working at the Sports Direct Arena St James Park, Newcastle FC stadium.
The "Brand protection" department were in fine form. This included blanking out the manufacturers name in the lift. They might be based in Reading and have "Sittin' on the dock of the bay" on the hold music
So I ask you, who are the official supplier of lifts to London 2012 ?
They also covered the nameplate on the paper towel dispensers in the gents too.
Just over zealous madness.

I personally hope to not purchase anything from an official olympic sponsor during the games.
I'll certainly give this a try. If they want to be such obnoxious arses that they're covering up a logo on a can roll holder, they're driving awkward bds like me away. fk 'em. Jasandjules said:

Certainly, since I have heard nonsense from East London, I'm more inclined to buy Pepsi and Burger King. Not that I ever eat at Ms or drink Ca. And I'll be sticking to Scottish Power.

Ace, this thread gives me an opportunity to wheel out one of my old jokes...
When I was on Holiday recently, the hotel had an elevator made by 'Schindler'...
Hence, we often hilariously found ourselves in 'Schindler's Lift'
I'm sure everyone who travels regularly on business has this chuckle at least once a week When I was on Holiday recently, the hotel had an elevator made by 'Schindler'...
Hence, we often hilariously found ourselves in 'Schindler's Lift'
I've always been disappointed that Otis don't have a Reading office.

If you think that's bad, McDonalds are the only company allowed to sell chips in the Olympic park !! Other vendors can sell chips but only as an accompaniment with fish ! So if you fancy a bag of chips for your walk home you can only buy them from mac dees !!
Wow, that's crazy. You'd have thought it would have been all over the news for the past couple of weeks...

12th July...I think they are being more reasonable, now, though. I think you just can't buy chips on its own at the other outlets.

More fool LOCOG then.
The only credible elevation business is, and always has been, Schindlers Lifts.
As you seem to speak with an enhanced level of 'elevator authority', could you explain to me and other anroak-tech PH'ers what makes Schindler units superior to Otis and Kone please? The only credible elevation business is, and always has been, Schindlers Lifts.
Genuine question btw...I love anything technical
