As you may be aware, our American cousins have started a petition to deport the slimy, two-faced smarmer back to Blighty. As we obviously don't want the sickening git back here, another petition has been started insisting they keep him:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2012/dec/26/petiti...

Please all sign up or we may have him back here soon:

I'm sure he isn't, plus we've done our bit and suffered the wker for far longer than could reasonably be expected.
Maybe he could do a stretch in Australia - he'd fit in well biggrin

i disagree with the above poster - They constantly give the UK "entertainers" like justin, minaj, britney and other various crap which i do not have the desire to sit here and recall

this is the least we can do for them.

Can't they send him to that island in the Pacific where Australia sends it illegal immigrants? Everyone will be happy then!

Eventually Piers Morgan had to say something sensible, the laws of probability dictate that.

I agree with his comments. I don't agree with his "interviewing" style of interrupting and insulting a guest who turned up for his little show.

Apart from which the description "unbelievably stupid man" could equally apply to him (while editing the Daily Mail he was fooled into publishing fake pix of fake squaddies abusing fake Iraqis").

A smug knut of the first order.

absolute turd of a man, and yet he was 100% right and despite interviewing in a totally unprofessional way, incredibly still made the the NRA / Gun owners club fellow look like a total cretin - which really shows the weight of the argument and exposed the crass stupidity of the arguments of these people

it was one of the most interesting bits of TV ive seen for a while.

(Im not anti gun btw- just anti idiots owning them and anti insane accessibility)

How very democratic! The people petitioning to have him deported are probably the same people who think their own opinion should be thrust upon the world.
Still ay least petitioning is nice and civilised...........

Someone in the office asked me why he came to the US in the first place. I could only respond that he was like the Pilgrims, he was going to get burned at the stake if he stayed in Britain any longer.

There's a certain irony about the whole thing. The more rabid pro-gun folks in the US are always shouting about gun control infringing on their rights under the Second Amendment and that the Government is riding roughshod over the Constitution, yet are quick to totally disregard the First Amendment as soon as someone says something they don't like. Would be amusing were they not armed to the teeth.

Morgan is still a tit mind you, but he's a tit with the right to say what he said. Being cynical, you could look at his ratings and suggest he knew full well what sort of reaction he would get...
