That's part of the scam though isn't it? They claim that their constituency home is not their main residence so they can expense the costs of it but there's nothing to stop them simultaneously claiming that it's their principal residence for Capital gains tax thus neatly side stepping tax when they sell up....

I got a good letter back from my MP when I wrote to him on this topic. He said he had had a massive number of mails and had passed them onto the Government. You never know, the gravy train may slow down a little.
Anyone know what the average MP grosses (including expenses)
They talk about a 60k salary not being much (MAtthew Parris), but it will be interesting to see what they actually Gross.
