Radio 2 is the only radio station that everyone in the office can agree on, so I am forced...

I like to substitute 'Climate Change' for 'Weather' in a statement. Department of Weather is great fun. Dealing with weather.

Keeps me amused anyway

Surely silence is better than listening to the human incarnation of the Daily Wail? Failing that, can you not play a CD of the sound of fingernails being scraped down a blackboard for a couple of hours?

I would love to listen to the Jeremy Vine Show, but the ratio of idiots to normal people is just increasing all the time. I think we're left with Jeremy Vine as the only reasonably sane person on the show. How he must keep a straight face on some days I have no idea. If I was JV, I'd have a chair that tipped the guest into a vat of acid if they were just too stupid, and a code on the telephone keypad that would instruct a callers phone to electrocute them.

Its a bit like the Jerry Springer Show but for people who kid themselves that they are bright. Intellectual jousting with picture dictionaries. The JV Show is a demonstration that care in the community failed.

The profoundly deaf couple who wanted a deaf child made me make the conscious decision that there are too many halfwits in this country. And they are all on the JV Show.

I now listen to the car engine.

Don't be ridiculous.

We all know that when it gets Warmer, it's "Global Warming", but when it's colder (such as now, below average temps for year), it's Weather.

Were Nicky Campbell and Jeremy Vine separated at birth?

We should be told.

firstly I listen to R2 for one reason only: Mr Terry Wogan

secondly although the Daily Mail does have a habit of wailing there are a few articles and a few writers who make a lot of what one might have refered to in the past as 'common sense' (prepares to be shot down)

No shooting from me.
I agree that the DM can get a bit hysterical sometimes, but more often than not the basic thrust of their stories are sound. Littlejohn in particular gets hammered by the liberal press, but when you look at what he has previously predicted would come to pass (and which at the time was snearingly dismissed as utter tosh) far too much of it has actually come to pass.
