Well had the first knock on the door, Labour to start with.

I think they are ill advised to send a young girl, although hot, who couldn't even debate with me on politics.

She didn't know half of what Labour stood for, yet alone what Hugh Bailey's voting record on issues had been. She actually thought he had voted for the equal rights for homosexuality. Which he has voted against.

So who have you had coming round?

Yes, my local Tory MP (majority 455) visited. I told him I was voting UKIP as I didn't think the Tories reflected my views any more.

I had a rather miserable looking Labour MP visit yesterday, he was told that there was no way in the world I'd vote Labour. He shrugged his shoulders and wondered off to next doors house!

Today I got a leaflet through the door proclaiming that our Conservative candidate had visited and he was looking forward to meet the electorate.
If he was looking forward to it that much he should've tried knocking on the door and speaking to me rather than just bunging a leaflet through the door on his rounds.

TBH I don't think any of them in my area are trying too hard as it's a pretty safe Tory seat!

Haven't had anybody trying yet, although have had leaflets from the main 3, doubt I'll get any as the ward boundary in my area has changed and I'm within sight of its farthest corner and even the local conservative associations map of the wards misses me out by a quarter of a mile or so........................ maybe a blessing in disguise as NON of the candidates are people I would choose to vote for, the Conservatives will be getting my X simply as my way to try to get rid of winky.

So there were no other fundamental policies which might affect the growth of the UK economy to discuss then? hehe

Had leaflets from Labour & Tories. Labour are defending at 8k majority, number 200 and something on the tory hit list.

Whilst driving about I've noticed that there are tory posters and placards about, some Lib Dem ones too ( that are fading in the sun rolleyes) but no labour ones, not one. I can only presume the Labourites are too embarrassed to nail their colours to the mast so to speak.

Anyone seen any Labour posters/placards in residential areas?

Labour have run out of cash.

Reading is absolutely plastered with Unison posters on their behalf.

I did indeed, she knew nothing. So went into things the Labour party had done in their time in office without knowing what his personal views were.

I laughed far more than what is considered "healthy" at that comment.

Only one response needed to teach her the error of her ways.

Not yet. I think I'll have to tell the Tory that I would prefer UKIP due to the stupid "green" policies but have no choice but to vote for him to make sure the scum don't stay in power.

Not at the house but a bunch of Labour trolls were ambushing people getting off the ferry as I was on my way home, including the Labour candidate. From the responses I heard he hasn't got a hope.
The best response I heard to his "Hello I'm (some halfwit) and I'm standing for parliament in this seat", was the superb, "Standing, you should be on your bloody knees, begging forgiveness". Pure class smile

Portsmouth - safe Tory seat and #1 on the Labour hit list I think.
