The brain-dead rent-a-mob thugs from EDL (English Defense League) are 'protesting' in Aylesbury this Saturday.

Apparently there is also a counter demo from some other mob...anti-fascist something or rather.

Everyone with school age children in the surrounding area has been sent a letter advising parents to keep their kids at home. The large Tescos store will be closing at mid day and all staff have been told to go straight home. Most of the town centre is closing down for the afternoon, roads will be shut and the police have had any leave cancelled.

Either they're expecting BIG trouble, or it's a storm in a teacup over nothing.
It'll be interesting to see what happens! I suspect it's a bit of an overreaction personally!

Probably an over reaction, are the other side attending?

Quite a large ethnic population in Aylesbury. Not that that's a problem for most normal people.

There's a thread on this in the Bucks section wink

The other side are attending, yes. I believe the council are going to be removing all loose street furniture and have set aside a big police budget for the 'event'. I know local businesses and shopping centres have been told to close too.

I think when they protested in Dudley, over the Easter Bank Hol, the costs were claimed to total £500,000

Why are they being allowed to carry on? Surely the laws which were being cited when that bunch of Islamic fundaMENTALISTS were 'proposing' to march through Wootton Basset should cover this too?

Sounds like it's being handled terribly. Letters? Closing the town centre? So they've basically turned what would probably be a containable situation with a couple of van loads of chavs into a problem, as well as got enough publicity to ensure that their opposite number can get their thugs there on time.

If they were to raise Dudley to the ground surely that would cause 500k of improvements?

Eventhough I come from the West Midlands, I've always thought that the best way to improve it would be to level the entire area and start again, it really is a st hole laugh

Nice bunch of people aren't they?

Doubt the anti fascist lot are any better though.

Has the BNP->EDL link been proven yet? That article seems to suggest that BNP activists were involved in setting up parts of the EDL.

The last time I witnessed an EDL vs UAF march, it was peaceful until the UAF thugs turned up and started attacking both police and EDL minions.

Best option would be to put them all in a gladiatorial arena supplied with blunt clubs and do the gene pool a favour hehe The winner is awarded a live grenade :P

Reminds of the irony of the PETA folks who murdered a doctor because he had links to animal testing labs

Yup, extreme left and extreme right are different sides of the same coin, they just don't seem to realise it.
