The more I hear about the EU gravy train's spend, spend, spend, with no controls and no self control, the more I want to murder small fluffy animals...

I don't really mean small fluffy animals, but I don't want GCHQ sending anyone round...

It's annoying enough knowing what they waste our money on, it's even more annoying to know how little we can do to stop the bd thing mad

Brown ratified the treaty, it was already law. Referendum therefore pointless.

Can the law not be reversed?

My understanding is that it's binding . . . . . which was considered an act of treason . . . . Before bLiar and winky got rid of that part of our treason laws . . . . It’s almost as though the whole thing was premeditated . . . . . which of course would mean that the labour party manifest in 2005, which DID promise a referendum was a pile of horsest . . . . .

I know this is a loaded question but what are the actual benefits of being in the EU and would we be able to prosper without being a member?

No treaty can be binding forever. Of course there are possible repercussions if we simply repudiate it, but I cannot see that said repercussions can be that bad. Also the Lisbon treaty allows for a state to withdraw from the EU.

No act of Parliament may bind it's successor.

Good to know that whilst we are suffering they are not.

Parliament is not bound by previous laws but they have political and economic pressures which mean a lot of laws will never change.

Like my old legal textbook said, they could pass a law legalising baby murder, doesn't mean it would ever happen.

What exactly do we get in return for all this cash we're giving them?

You get to be a member of an illustrious club that will again, and again, put up your membership fees!
Of course Cameron could have had a referendum - he didn't want to because he loves the EU now because he 'was for turning!' - just look at him sidle up with Sardozy and the angel of the Merkel) His new ambition is to become EU President (to put one over Bliar).

You watch and see, when the coalition implode and bloody Labour get back in, over the waters CMD will creep.
