Three Ryanair Passengers Win Cars.....
Discussion
....... on the same flight. Due, apparently, to a mix up by the printers who make their scratch cards. Couldn't happen to a nicer company
Ryanair Winners
"Ryanair has launched an enquiry after three passengers on the same flight each won a car worth £11,500 after playing its in-flight scratchcard game.
The three passengers, who were flying from Milan to Madrid last Monday, won the prize after buying one of the airline's £2 scratchcards, despite an average of one car being won each month.
The airline blamed a printing error by Brandforce, the company which runs the game, but has promised that all three winners will receive their vehicles.
Ryanair began selling scratchcards in 2008 in an attempt to further increase its additional or “ancillary” revenues.
Around a quarter of the airline’s annual earnings are generated by ancillary revenues. Its extra charges, including check-in fees, booking fees and luggage charges, have increased by up to 700 per cent since 2006.

Last month, Ryanair was criticised for imposing an additional £2 charge on all bookings to insure itself against flight cancellations, while next month it will allow passengers to reserve individual seats for the first time, at a cost of £8.80 per person per flight, on services from Dublin Airport to Gatwick and Malaga."

I suspect that the problem will be that rather then being evenly spread through the print run, 3 months worth of winners will have been put in one batch of cards. I doubt that more winning cards have actually been printed.
In which case the odds of winning a car have slimmed quite considerably.

I dislike them but they serve a purpose.
My venom is usually reserved for the people they allow to take comically oversize bags on as hand luggage, or sometimes 2 or 3 items, and then throw a hissy fit when I am carrying a bag that fits into their measuring cage twice over...
That said I'd rather fly sleazyjet and that's saying something...

Some of us hate them and DON'T buy tickets. I'd rather walk.As an added bonus, I can now get a bus to the airport as I fly from Heathrow, which is less than 50 miles away rather than driving to Stansted (100 miles) and leaving my car there all week.

And yet, here I am in Germany having flown Lufthansa for £350 odd and having done so for the last 4 months most weeks, where as for the previous 4 months I was flying Ryan air for £70-200 (depending on if I booked at the last second or not).
