New Garage, What Have I Forgotten?
Discussion
Having a new garage built and done the walk around with the sparky.
What haven't I thought of?
-3 Phase distribution board
-3 Phase cable runs for potential future Ev chargers
-3p supply for large door motor
-Too many double sockets
-One 3 phase socket
-Low level lighting (switched)
-High level lighting (PIR and switched)
-Ethernet in (2 runs)
-2x ethernet ports
-Ethernet cable runs to camera, AP and PoE lighting locations
-Downdraft heating on side walls

Sockets in the ceiling or near the door?
External socket on the front to run the pressure washer etc with the door closed?
Not sparks related but air hoses from where your compressor will live to the both side walls, somewhere near the door and one on the back.
Do you need to run cables for an alarm PIR or door sensors?

Floor traps for battery conditioners to avoid trailing cables
Smart home management... control of doors , lighting and security cameras
TV and Sound system
4 post lift
Why all the 3 Phase stuff ? I'm no electrician, but I do remember H&S issues of computer racks in close proximity on different phases.
Why not WIFI Mesh instead of hardwired Cat6x ?

To clarify, this is another garage, not my only one, so I won't have a lift or any workshop gear as I already have a workshop.
We have three phase already and there is ample space on a three phase distribution board in on outcrop of the main house to provide to a new distribution board in the new garage.
The door motor is three phase, as will be any future EV chargers, as they charge much quicker than a single phase charger. The single three phase socket is for just in case...
Hard wiring is because we will want PoE cameras and lighting that fits with existing infrastructure, and an access point that will serve the garage and an existing external building.
Floor and ceiling power might be an idea...
Thanks chaps.

Don't want water in there. Too much hassle.
It will be skimmed and painted.
Floor will be epoxy resin. We have it in our other garage and my workshop.
+1 For Epoxy resin floor , had mine done a few years ago ... tried most other coverings in a garage and by far the best ... but did have them back to do it again because of "gassing off " from the concrete underneath causing small bubbles .It will be skimmed and painted.

Regular 13A socket (with USB) near to where your door motor is going if you need to run a home automation control for it.What haven't I thought of?
