Hello

I have seen this and like the look of it but can't find any where to by it as all the links seem to be dead or say it is no longer available!
Does anyone have something similar? or can suggest an alternative? I want to spend around £500.00ish and would like something modern as opposed to countryish and it has to be in solid in Oak to match the fire place which it is going to the right of, the gap is about 2500mm.

Ta

Paul

How about.... Oak Furniture Solutions

Furniture by room, then living room, then TV Cabinets or Hi-Fi Cabinets & Entertainment Units.

Any good?

He seems to spin it every five minutes! Hopefully it's back on the road, although I think his efforts are being focused on a new Kitchen at the moment.

I've bought a couple of grands worth of furniture from Oak Furniture Solutions - stuff I saw in shops that they had for less than half the price, received excellent service and value.

Seems like loads of their stuff will fit your brief:

There is a company in Warminster who make or used to make for John Lewis. They went into administration at least once if not twice in the last 18 months. I recall they were owed a lot of money by Grant Bovey's buy to let empire when it collapsed.

We have some of their furniture and have had it since 2005, the quality is superb. Might be worth a look.

Cheers, I will check out the company in Warminster, I have already been through the other web site but can't find any thing quite right, really looking for it to be around 1800mm long.

EDIT - Sorry misread the post, thought you were looking for a fireplace cabinet.

You could try this company for an option.

I happen to know the guy from the Great British Woodshop television program (a bit like a UK based (Aussie born) Norm Abram), and he is a member of the Corvette Club. His name is David Free, and his workmanship is extremely good on his bespoke stuff. I have not seen these cabinets in the flesh, but would assume at the price they are very good though.

They are a bit different to what you were looking at in the picture as the television raises up via remote control from the fireplace into viewing position, and neatly tucks away when not wanted.

Of course, with his capabilities, you could always ask him to make a commission item if you cannot find exactly what you want anywhere.

Give Easy Living a try. We bought most of our oak furniture from there.
