Hangover cures - specifically heavy scotch and port consumpt
Discussion
Well after a solid 18hrs+ drinking on sat with the Wales victory I still have a hanging hangover..... Should be gone by Wednesday.
Anyway id like to hear of genuine hangover cures. And no oh don't drink or have 50ltrs of water during the day or before I go to sleep that oat going to happen.
So my boozing is unlikely to cut down I drink heavy usually ale or Leffe Brune or scotch or red wine or lots of port. !!! For my sins.

Got to be the worst "my team won" thread ever?
could it be your hangover is because Wales are such a bunch of lightweights and never win anything that you've no experience of drinking a few bevvies?

I can assure you sir that I can on an all day session sink up to 30 beers when really on it or if just supping id clear an easy 18.
And Wales were exceptionL
I was puzzled by your title at first; I thought it said Heavy, Scotch and Port, presumably as chasers, which is strictly for the hardened toper. My skipper started off his leave last week with a pint and a Grouse chaser at 9am on Monday morning while waiting for the train home; I suspect his liver is on borrowed time.
Hair of the dog is an ineffective method - just dulls your senses so you feel better for a short time, and then start to feel worse again when it wears off. The drinking coffee and juice ones don't work either.
I'm not aware of anything that will actually speed up the body's breaking down of alcohol. We all do it at different rates, but you can't alter it, sadly.
The person who comes up with a safe and legal way of doing it will become extraordinarily rich!
You can minimise the effects by staying hydrated, etc, etc, but you know that!

Quantity wise sure it is a lot i guess but I've always drank a lot plus that's holiday drinking so think start c9-10am finish midnight to 1 am so it's a long period of time. I don't down the drinks it's just a constant flow.
I recall on a birthday session I had maybe 10 years ago went out with a few from work and on the beers I was drinking them 2 to 1 they were getting more pisses than me so they gave me countless shots of scotch that did work fecked me up properly.
Don't think I drink much unless it's on hols or a special occasion. I do often have weekends off booze and unless it's hols I don't have any during the week.
