Regular quotes, interviews or statements from his car, he seems to enjoy the limelight.
Clearly a good motivator but I find it puzzling he talks of building this great spurs team, whilst openly coveting a move to become England Manager long before even Capello was annointed, does this great team he is building not need a leader? He laughed at the £30+ Million offerred for Modric, yet in 2010 complained the transfer market has gone mad and clubs are asking too much for players. Cant help but think Spurs are merely a stepping stone to putting himself in the frame with every intention of jumping ship when the England Vacancy becomes available...

Unfair?

Hardly unfair. Harry has always done whats good for Harry, you only have to look at when he jumped between Portsmouth and Southampton and back again. He's a cool operator and has luckily fallen into a club who are willing to go along with his spending needs. Dont get me wrong, he's a great manager but not without big spending, look at what he did to Pompey admittedly thats as much the chairmans fault as his. I have no doubt he'll drop Spurs at the first sniff of England he gets and who could blame him.

He's been prostituting himself for the job for years, that will only intensify in the next few months.

He's a shoe-in imo.

I just hope he doesn't find the job too taxing.

I'd like to see him do it. But I suspect he'd get bored of not receiving bungs for transfers...

Love Harry saw his 1st game Spurs vs Bolton - think he has ended up with a great team but
as a pal has mentioned he has only won an FA Cup with Portsmouth !

does that warrant getting the England job ?

Not is he loses the court case to HMRC....reckon that puts a spanner in the works.

He's done a good job at Spurs but as others have said the core of the team was already there....but you could also say the same about Mourinho at Chelsea....a lot of that team were there before him but he changed the dynamic like Harry has at Spurs.

What else have Portsmouth won?

Who are the other candidates for the England job? Last season people said Coyle was one for the future.

We will have to disagree about Gomez, although I'd accept Brad was/is a only short term solution.

I think Kaboul was bought Jol, sold by Ramos, then resigned by Harry.

The team that Harry puts out is very different to that Ramos fielded. The only quality players that aren't from 'arry's era are King, Bale (who was a joke until Harry was in charge) Modric and Lennon.

Of the players Harry has sold who would you have kept?

Bentley (loaned out, so bad no one will buy)
Taarabt
Bostock (shame he failed to make his potential)
O'Hara
Hutton
Keane
Crouch
Bent
Zokora
Gunter
Stalteri
Kevin-Prince Boateng

The worst thing I'd say about Redknapp is he will buy people at the end of their careers but considering the fact that Spurs aren't regularly in the Champions league attracting top class players in their prime is easier said than done.

the team that venebles built was pretty good - thought 92 and 93 we would run Arsenal all the way - but he had his bust up with Sugar and there was always only one winner there - remember being at a pre season game at Enfield Town protesting against Sugar .

That team came into the corner pin after the end of season game and had a few pints - Ruddock was a born leader in that team

what qualifies him for the England job then ???

It'll be flavour of the month again, and up until three weeks ago, that was Pardew........in fact,it REEKS of pardew (if he keeps the geordies mid-table or better).

Personally, i don't rate Rednapp for the job, and we all know the F.A. won't appoint him cos he's got a name for taking the iron-lung on transfers.

If Pardew fails, the current manager of F.C Twente may answer the calling. (in which case i will apply for a scottish passport !!!)

This I don't understand.

Why would you stop supporting your country if Redknapp manages them, seems a little odd?

Even if i despised the guy, it would never stop me supporting my country, I personally would love to see Harry in there, a great people motivator and always seems to do well, better than some idiot Italian who doesn't speak a word and doesn't have a clue what his best team is or ever has been.

The fact Capello is not english will never sit well with many fans, but he is not an idiot, his win percentage is very impressive at both club and country compared with many of our predecessors. Harry has his strengths such as motivation, which is an admirable quality, but are you willing to overlook his slightly dubious character and obvious self interests and install him simply because he is English?
His CV simply has to state Nationality: ENGLISH, to be eligible, that just seems like the wrong requirements for choosing a manager.

Capello is far from an idiot, how much does he get paid?!? but, he's achieved nothing at England, his team selections have been all over the place and can't wait for him to finish up this year.

Harry has a great personality and he will motivate players so much more than Capello, who has struggled with the language since he started, so the sooner Harry gets in, the better I feel we'll start to be as an international force.
