do we know where the Benettons have ended up?

I know some have 'escaped', but surely the majority of the F1 cars are still owned by the family/company? Anyone have any idea?

went to the States and is still used occasionally by the owner

The whole lot including spares was sold in a multi million £ deal to a guy in the UK who then sold on individual cars to private owners. There is a guy in Essex who has 2 running B194's. NICE!

There were quite a few. I've personally got up close to at least half a dozen. Don't forget the Kockney Koi Boss era. David McLaughlin runs one under the FORCE umbrella. Geoff Page looks after several too.

Remember I wrote to Tyrell as a child and got a fold up poster of a p34 back in the post.
Grew up watching Jackie Stewart.

I remember back in the 90's lots of cars used to be sold off, and were frequently advertised in the back of Autosport and similar. Plenty of touring cars too, complete with spares packages.
Also saw a (60s) Batmobile advertised there once..

I have a soft spot for Tyrrell, I've worked with a fair few including restoring and race engineering the first P34.

The 011 was the last car to win an F1 race with a Cosworth DFV in 1983, we restored it a couple of years ago and won the FIA Championship with it.

Must get out to see some historical F1, been an F1 fan since childhood, sadly like many others the current scene doesn't engage, big soft spot for the analogue racing era.

It has it's moments.

That's a Penske PC3 in the background, which was basically a copy of a March 751, used for the last race of 1975 and the first half of the 1976 F1 season.

It's a shame we don't see F1 cars from the modern era racing (by which I mean mid 90s onwards).

I think there were some attempts to de-engineer some of the complexity to make them raceable to enthusiasts but I seem to recall the main problem being the resin in the carbon fibre becomes too brittle over time rendering them too dangerous to race, even at a reduced pace.

In answer to the OP...I recall seeing a young racer called Scott Mansell (no relation - I think) race one of the Benettons in the EURO Boss series a few years ago.

Not correct, the first generation carbon tub Lotus races in the FIA historic F1 series. We occasionally see a McLaren MP4/1 too. The Tyrrell 011 I run has a carbon fibre floor. The Tyrrell 012 that races with us is a carbon tub.
