1.4 miles

Opens in 3 weeks

I'll be popping down soon after it opens with my bike for a bit of aural pleasure

Anyone planning on driving something special through it, for a bit of a Hammond/Zonda moment?

There is some kind of CCTV Radar system so 1st gear 70mph it is, rolling on and off for fun.

I'm not rushing to use it, since living in Haslemere (above it!), I shall be sick of the sight of it soon enough!!!

It has been mentioned in the MX5 section that a tunnel run would be good. As a local, I'd certainly like to help get it organised if we want to make it a full PH thing.

Living only 2 miles from the tunnel I will no doubt be blasting through as soon as it opens.

Just driven southbound on the A3 and through the Punchbowl with the roof off on the Mazda. For the very last time? We will see tomorrow.

Hopefully!

I'm going to do a few laps of it tomorrow biggrin

Can't work out where you can turn around and come back on the south side.. North bound will be at Thursley, but south side I don't know if you can come off by Merc and go under the A3 or have to go down to Liphook and over..

BBC tv and radio are going to be there apparently, so I expect the others will be too.

You'll come off the A3 just after the tunnel at the new Hammer/Hindhead junction, go over the bridge to the Hindhead side and then back on. However because the northbound tunnel isn't open yet you'll go back up to the lights and then down back, northbound through the Punchbowl, coming out as before at Thursley.

Oh, so there will be an off slip just after the tunnel going southbound, excellent! biggrin
