That will still make it 3p/litre more than ordinary Shell diesel. Is it worth it? (honest question)

Just used a 10p voucher on Tesco Momentum 99 saving me nearly a tenner on a full tank. With the voucher I paid 129.9 a litre wink

Diesel: Not really from everything Ive read
Petrol: Yes if you have a performance car and not (eg) a 1.2 fiat punto. Even if it does have an extra fake tailpipe nailed onto the back.

Yep it like having a full tank of diesel additive in it. The performance aspect is a bit more tricky as modern ecus learn what fuel they are being fed on and account for it on running. It should give the system a good clean out with the extra stuff in it.
Don't use anything in my Griff other than V Power petrol.

100 litres is a fair size of tank to fill

Yeah, I have a 330 mile trip to make on Sunday so I brimmed it for the first time in over a year. I am hoping to get there with some to spare.

I bought only V-power diesel for my BMW 320d for about 7 months and it seemed to make a bit of a difference compared to normal diesel. No noticeable efficiency improvement, but after a while it seemed like it idled more evenly and revved more freely. Less subjectively, it did produce a lot less smoke when accelerating hard.

I felt it was worth it at the time (an extra £100/yr, something like that), but hardly essential, so eventually I stopped... and it didn't seem to make any difference. So I figured that (a) the 10% (or whatever) GTL was basically snake oil, and (b) the cleaning additives eventually clean the engine, at which point you won't need to keep putting them in quite so regularly.

P.S. I went to the Wikipedia article to double-check the percentage of GTL - no figures provided - and they mention some stuff about making engines sound less rough. So maybe that really WAS happening? Always seemed like it, but if you drive the car every day, it's hard to tell, because it's not like it's an instant night-vs-day change.

Oh no yikes what will you ever do now? You might of saved less than the price of a pint of lager. scratchchin I know, how about next time fill up with regular fuel & save yourself nearly the price of two pints of lager, yeah that will work.

I whole heartedly apologise upfront for my sarcasm but I'm in a particularly foul & sarcastic mood today, I may even go & kick the cat in a minute.
