991 RS Prices - 10 flippers already for sale!
Discussion
Well, I thought I would start a new thread as the silly season has arrived ![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)
We have 10 cars already advertised (mix of LHD and RHD) and am hearing some OPCs have cars available if you ask (obviously not at list!).
I haven't heard a car sell for the silly numbers being asked .... but will await to be told otherwise from would be owners and pseudo-dealers and traders on here, and of course the various disguises of Mr Apollo1.
LHDs on continent dropping fast .... can be had for well under 200k.
JZM has just reduced his car to 205k, if you can't be arsed to take an EasyJet flight.
So the question, where do LHD and RHD cars settle in 6 months ?

Ha......this is simply a repeat of the recent GT3 thread where certain people attempted to talk down prices....'.they will be sub £100k by Christmas stuff blah blah'.......but prices actually rose as the supply of good cars dwindled.....![hehe](/inc/images/hehe.gif)
Strangely enough they then went all quiet....![tumbleweed](/inc/images/tumbleweed.gif)
So, the RS will stay around £250k for some time basically because there is essentially nothing else out there to compare apart from the Speciale. The ecoty result of the superb GT4 displacing the RS from coming first will have no effect......they basically concluded the RS was too fast for the road......what kind of weak highly questionable and nerdy comment is that?!

I think its a valid comment, not at all questionable. The point they were trying to make was that as a driver, you have to be going biblically quick on the road in order to feel the car moving around and squirming on its tyres etc.
Some people like this feeling of security and some people don't. Its horses for courses but their view does not mean the 991 RS is NOT a great car, anyone who says its not impressive is a dullard

Fair enough but to me the point ' it is too quick for the road' remains unconvincing at best and ridiculous at worst. If it was true then the majority of most rapid cars and GT Porsches in particular would be in this category as the exploitable performance gains between one quick car and another are truly miniscule especially on the road. The point they were trying to make was that as a driver, you have to be going biblically quick on the road in order to feel the car moving around and squirming on its tyres etc.

True but I guess its a question of where you draw the line. ![driving](/inc/images/driving.gif)
It's a rhetorical question but what speed is fast enough for the road?
With regards to this evo review, they were looking for the 'Thrill Of Driving' and sometimes fast-as-possible does not equate to a thrilling involving drive, if it did we would all be running 991 Turbos.
Im sure the journalists got out of the RS and jumped into the GT4 and at no point thought "This GT4 is too slow!"
Can't see these cars ever selling for £300k +. At least with the regular GT3 they rose to £30-40k or so over list, over a period of time with some buying and selling activity to support it. The RS going to double plus of the list price immediately has zero credibility in my view.
Even with £330k in the bank, you always have in your mind that someone paid £150k for this YESTERDAY and that's BS in my view. As someone mentioned above, JZM knocked £20k off the left hand drive one after 10 minutes. Probably because they had precisely zero interest in it at the original sticker price.
No doubt these cars are spectacular value at list price and fair dos to those that got one but £300k makes no sense. I'd pay over list for one but nowhere near that.

After the initial burst of excitement and dealer hype , and a few ''tranactions'', the bubble has already disintegrated in Europe big time
So it wont be long coming here , especially with Portugal and Greece ready to collapse.
The € is already rocketing upwards, respectfully suggest 160K the norm soon to buy a 991RS and 125 gets a 991GT3
