Would it be possible to have the ability to ignore certain posters on the forums?

It'd make it a lot easier to enjoy some of the threads on the forums.

Thanks

I now possibly could do make use of it if it ever happens

Or if you can take bribes and ban someone for me but that would be childish

Does that mean we can have it then, Ted. Can we? Can we? Can we then, Ted?

I do plan to implement it. Just depends when I can schedule the work on the forums.

Thank you very much, Ted. See - you'll be able to use it to tune out my whingeing!

How would it work then?

Would you still be able to read the thread but selected posts within the thread wouldn't show?

If so, the thread could become a bit dis-jointed as the posts your not seeing might be integral to the on-going conversation.

Could do it a number of ways.

Mostly what I would like is that threads with a high volume of posts by specific individuals either wouldn't show up in the forums or might be coloured differently so I know not to bother clicking on them. The Pie and Piston is totally unreadable to me these days. In fact I've removed it from my list of forums despite it being the place for some of the conversations I'd like to have/contribute to.

A second feature would be to strip posts by my list of individuals from a thread - but you are right this may make the thread unreadable. In which case I've lost nothing as I would probably view it as unreadable anyway.

I was going to ask for an "ignore" function as well. Some posters are just too irritating/predictable/aggresive...

TBH, I think it's unnecessary.

You don't have to read what people say, so when you see their name just ignore it? It's not that difficult, really.

Any timescales for this yet?
