What Exciting Car? £15 - £25k budget
Discussion
Ok so I had a Jag XFR 5L V8 2009. Sold it earlier this year and decided to get something slightly more practical/economical.
SO bought a Jag F-Pace 3L V6 Diesel. Haven't had a great experience with it so it's going back.
I'm considering going back to something slightly less practical again. the XFR just had that buzz about it for performance and noise in a tunnel haha.
So suggestions for something with 5 doors, Less than 60K miles preferably at least 2015 and newer with plenty of power but perhaps not quite as hefty on fuel as the XFR,
With a boot I can put the dog in would be a bonus but We're planning on trading our Van in for something more practical so not essential.
thanks for any suggestions in advance

Not sure I would call it exciting, but a 2015 S4 Avant B8.5 ticks a lot of your boxes and in budget. Can be easily tuned well into the 400's bhp and can easily return mid 30's on the motorway when needed. SO bought a Jag F-Pace 3L V6 Diesel. Haven't had a great experience with it so it's going back.

Kia Stinger?
Actually went to test drive the stinger before the XFR. Didsn't actually get to though as the missus said to the dealer she didn't like the colour so they knew we werent going to buy what one. FFS Has the advantage over the XFR in that its got a Hatchback boot.
DO miss that growl from the XFR mind.

An F80 BMW M3 might be worth looking at, although will be top end of your budget for a 2015 car with low miles. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202305127...
Alfa Giulia Veloce? https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202304276...
Audi RS3? https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202304066...
Audi RS4 Avant? https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202303165...
MB C43? https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202305057...
Or you could just buy a 2015 XFR with low mileage and accept that slightly higher fuel bill is the price for entry.

I'd say the Audi S7 ticks a lot of boxes V8TT & a remap will see it close to RS territory without the tax:

The Audi S7 and S5's along with the Stinger are leading the way looking at the suggestions.
Anyone had any experience of remapping after market exhausts on the above? I think i'm going to miss the noise of the XFR otherwise lol
I've had a few S7's mapped for clients & have seen a 70-90bhp increase on those exhaust wise an X/H pipe adds a nice amount of noise (not XFR levels because the turbos silence a bit of the noise) if that's not enough you can lose a box as well but I'd take it in stages.Anyone had any experience of remapping after market exhausts on the above? I've done a few S4's but I'd say that if you want a bit of theatre then go for the S7.

Haven't your last 2 cars been JLR products?
To be fair the XFR gave me no problems apart from costs in fuel tax and tyres haha and the f pace is a long story but it was more a dealer issue than car issue. The S7 shout from the poster above and a stinger are front runners I think. Gonna track down for test drives now.
