Well after having various cars Nova,saxos,106,Vectra,Focus

I got an Impreza Sport last October - Kept it until Feb 15TH (should of been 14th but the missus wanted me to do something with her for valentines so i was patient)

Since buying it in Feb i have

FMIC - Hopefully on Saturday if the lad gets back to me
Possibly change the wheels
Colour code the skirts, spats and handl;es next weekend
Go back to Andy F and then get her on the RR

I love it to bits and its a pleasure to drive - The reason i went for the Turbo 2000 is my lass is 20 and im 23 so insurance would of been a killer (got quotes and all were over £2k) we are on this for under £1k fully comp

The power is unreal (probably because my previous motors havent been that fast) lol

Handles really good

LOVE fuel - Im getting about 250ish to the tank - Since owning it i have done 3000ish miles - Going to Applecross this weekend with her so will get some nice pics

Spent a bit of time tonight and washed the car tonight
Put some tyre dressing on her. The alloys were migning - Will give her the full treatment at the weekend tho :-)

Some old rides

My sport - Resprayed in WR1 blue

Focus - I kept for 5 week
Before

After - I added OBX pulleys,kent stage 1 cams 18" keis

My Vectra I bought standard last year and kept it for 12months - 1.8 16v

After

Got her in Total Vauxhall

I HAVE to keep the Impreza for a while as my GF is getting stressed with me changing cars hahaha

Well yesterday me an 9 other cars went up to Applecross and back down to Nairn then out to Aviemore - Awesome - We took about 200 pics

They can be seen on scottishscoobies.net as it takes ages to post them on different sites.

I did 310miles - Was such a amazing drive. Really got to give her some stick an see how she handled

1 thing happend the battery clamp came looks and the battery shorted on the bonnet and the car cut out...All sorted within

Today i ordered black faced gauges to replace the white faced ones - They appear smoked when off an really cool when on :-)

Then we got the boost controller on it and backed it down a bit so all is well :-)

Looks nice mate, would still love an impreza but unfortunately at 18 I really would get completely raped on the insurance, and I have no desire to pay 4 grand for that!

Loving the lion dog, I bet that puts the fear up most people when it comes running up to them!

So is it quicker than your STi now with all its mods? wink

No issue at all with people modifying there cars to look better i.e with all your other cars etc...but why put the STI stickers on and the bonnet vent.

I dont really get it especially when its only a n/a and not even a turbo confused

I do like your current one though.

You don't do 'standard' do you? smile

Nice cars anyway, & that is a big exhaust! Does it touch down on speed bumps etc..?

The Impreza with the STI stickers was just a 2ltr N/a didnt look into a turbo as i never thought i could insure one lol, But i was wrong i could hence how i never kept it long :-)

Got the boost spike sorted now :-)

Nah im not keen on standard haha but i have made my fair share of modifying fkups like bonnet vents on a saxo etc...... I enjoy it and thats what matters

Fitted a decat and a afterburnet vortex system to the Scooby on Tuesday night - Makes a lovely growl and feels like its alot more "free flowing" and seems to pick ap that bit quicker.

The exhaust has hit the speed bumps a couple of times - Was up Applecross for a run with 7 other cars an put a fair amount of scrathes on it and a pretty big dent

Next up is to fit some more hoses and polybush it :-)

Thanks for the comments.

P.s also colour coding the side skirts next weekend and thinking about painting the alloys anthracite.

Well tonight was eventful

Was out the back road at Foyers and was getting a rattling from the rear of the car - We assumed it was just some of the tools in the boot (i was wrong) As a joke my mate said "bet you have a snapped spring" so about 30mins later we come over a crest nipping on as you do and heard a loud ping. I automatically looked in the mirror to see 2 coils off my rear spring rolling down the road.

We pulled over and jacked the car up and recovered the couple of coils and it looks like they have been cracked a while as it was rusted inbetween and they must of just snapped under load. I suppose its lucky in a sense as i never binned the car.

DAM tein springs never seen it happening with them - Going to have to get new ones now. Possibly a set of Cusco coilovers from a friend so will wait and see.

No other damage was done and we limped her 20 miles back to base. She is sitting rather low on 1 wheel tho
