according to the article I read it was written off. IIRC he was done for speeding on the way to the port in the UK, got the car shipped to France to continue and then wrote it off. It was about 6 days old.

Yes, that Murcie was sold by Lambo London, and is an 05 model with the new style wheels. It was wrecked in Italy by its 20's something owner after he lost it when accelarating, and fish tailed it into a rock cutting at the side of the road. It is repairable so I'm told.
Best thing about carbon fibre bodied cars is that sections can be grafted on fairly easily. Alan Robb at Lambo Wycombe showed me a Black pristine Murcie the other week. It had suffered a head on collision with a Range Rover, which had then actually run over the top of it with 2 wheels. They repaired it - cost 40K - but the car looks like new..

A special award went to the driver of the Lamborghini Murcielago who was busted at 194mph
before he'd got out of the UK. That car was impounded, so he took his Mercedes round the
rest of the route, til he blew that up in Italy. He then had his Lambo disempounded and
brought to Italy, where hours later he completely wrote it off and had to hitch hike the
rest of the way to Monaco.

sadly ive met a fair few Lambo and Fezza owners who believe that just because they can afford to buy one they're able to drive one too.....

Find it strange that this hasn't been publicised if true? Remember the furore over 150mph+ bikers and more recently 159mph copper? 194mph is a different league.

On the basis that every problem is an opportunity.....

Does anyone know the wherabuts of the car and if it's being written-off/broken?

Want to buy a few bits off it to experiment on for mine!

I can clear this up, he was not speeding in the UK, he didnt want to take his new Lambo out of the UK so drove it to the chunnel where he got into his Merc SL55, the supercharger packed up in this when he got to the hungaroring so he arranged for the Lambo to be shipped over. As far as i know it's still sat in a warehouse in London somewhere! I saw an identical white Murcie the week i got back from the Gumball same wheels and almost the same plate, so there is another one around somewhere.

The 194 mph story was reported in various magazines but to be honest I put it down to the usual gumball hype when I first read it on the basis that we would have heard about it on the front page of the papers if it had really happened. Hence when I see the gumball footage and automatically divide all the speeds by 50% as the amount of bull that people seem to talk and hype up now seems to be gladly publicised by the organisers...

you are right to divide any speed by at least 50% on the Gumball, FYI, the guys who crashed a 355 Spider on the same day were running completely bald tyres on the rear, unfortunately i dont think the crash knocked any sense into them either!
