Just a short note to bring an update on the latest from the above........

Some time back Wortec and Emotional Engineering started development on a specific supercharger installation, including a very individually developed software upgrade to really maximise the massive potential that the supercharger and the LS1 have.

The testing has been exhaustive and a huge thank you to Kev(Tiler)for having to endure the real bind of having to run around in 550+ BHP monster for months

The car is running fantastically, and we have just finished our first Customer installation....and wow!!

I will let the customer speak for themselves....but to quote....'...i have had some very quick cars in the past, but have never driven anything this fast, its just silly!!!' Everything just speeds up, the noise, the gear changes the acceleration, everything just happens so fast......'

To say he was delighted was an understatement.

We have discussed with Alan from EE and the boys from Harrrop, and are pleased to announce that we will be the sole distributor and installer of all Harrop product in the UK, with the full support of EE and Wortec, from 1st Oct 2005.

You all know about the superchargers, but we will be able to offer the full Harrop range from the more extreme cold air intakes, to the race developed enduro diff covers.

We are committed to offering the best customer service, coupled with the best products at the most competitive prices. These are very special cars, that deserve the very best of attention.

Good news, IMO S/charging is the way to go. I get the same or even better fuel economy than the standard set up, it's very user friendly & to date (fingers crossed etc.) no engine problems whatsoever.
Look forward to hearing about more S/Charged cars in the future.

Having been a supercharger guy for over 4 years with the LS1 engined HSV with a Callaway C4B at that(everyone says the Callaway is prone to valve/head problems, but if prepared correctly I can show no problems)I would really specify better pistons,ARP rod bolts, heavy duty clutch, speed density mapping plus a few other important issues if you want a LS1 to survive 500 + for any length of time.
Only a few of you are aware of my progress but then I say 'action speaks louder than words'.I have made 570 shown on dyno chart but pulled back to 545 for complete reliability.

Great news guy's,

Saw Kev's car at Silverstone, what a beast ! and very nicely put together as well.

As a lot of people know, Harrop are quality products no question !

The work that Ron Harrop has done with the Dodo Racing V8 Supercar Team has been fantastic this year.

My thoughts exactly, with a lowered c/r, decent ring pack, nice balance job and a few extras.

Boosted.

Although if just going for a low boost setup, its hardly worth the expense of all that when a std engine will take 7-8psi reliably enough.
I'd wait until something broke first before upgrading pistons etc, unless I was upgrading internals to cope with more power than the std parts would ever take.

I dont know how yank rwhp figures compare to numbers over here, or indeed Oz, but plenty of guys are easily making between 450+rwhp with various blowers, headers etc, on std engines and most are very reliable if tuned/mapped properly.

Rob,thanks for your comments.I only post on blower issues as I feel that any individual achievement always seems overshadowed by the "professionals",but I still get the satisfaction!!!

bounce. Come on guys, you do seem to very quiet whenever the word warranty appears! Can we please have a definitive answer on what will affect the Vauxhall 3 year warranty and what will not. Caspy, surely you must have some idea as a Vauxhall dealer?
